This is a gorgeous historical location, that includes the national history museum of Mexico, you can find amazing paintings and great halls filled with antique jewelry, furniture. As an additional feature, you can experience an amazing view of the city from here

More than the museum (it´s a nice short visit), what is really wonderful is the view from the Castle (the only real one there´s in Mexico City). If you go over the sunset you will get beautiful pictures. Try to find out if there will be concerts on the "Alcázar". It´s a nice experience.

We visited here at the same time as Chapultepec Castle. "It's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll!" About 1/2 km walk uphill to the facility. Plenty of interesting historical exhibits. And panoramic views of the city. Well worth the hike.

This has been a wonderful site to visit in the 2 times i visited Mexico City. Through the years, it has been a museum, a military school, which is rather interesting. It is here that the young cadets or niños heroes, leaped to their death with the Mexican Flag, rather than give it to the US. You can see it... More

I really loved to be in this castle in the middle of the city. I learned a lot and my son (10 years) too.

El Castillo de Chapultepec has such a rich and storied history over the 240 years since construction began. Among it's many notable functions, it was the home of Emperor Maximilano cousin of Bavaria's "mad" King Ludwig II) and Empress Carlota. The views from the parapets looking down the Reforma (modeled after the Champs Elysee) and other main avenidas of the... More

The museum is well laid out and it's very easy to get around. It's interesting that it's in the castle and you have nice views from the top of the "hill."

The castle in itself is amazing. There is a museum within the castle which houses art work as well as different collections and furniture. I loved the views of the cities from the castle. There is a long hike/climb to the castle but I heard that you can be dropped off at the top.
