We had a wonderful lunch in the beautiful courtyard. We had melon and Serrano ham, ceviche, shrimp curry and redsnapper with artichokes. All were delicious. The service impeccable.

We went to the Bazar del Sabado on a saturday and wow, the artisans that are in this upscale market are truly experts in their craft. While more expensive than most other crafts in Mexico this is truly at the level of works of art. The quesadilla in the restaurant on the central square where delicious.

The garden and other outside seating all have beautiful vistas of garden or courtyards. It is extremely popular but we were early for lunch at 1pm and had a handful of staff waiting on us. Our waiter was as helpful as possible, given our pathetic language skills. The result was food as good as it gets in Mexico and, with an extensive menu, there were many attractive options. But, one does go here for the ambiance!

Nice place for lunch after exploring the area. Food was only ok and for the price probably it worth it but it is more for the atmosphere.

The affluent suburb of San Angel has streets with beautiful mansions, quaint little parks and fountains and posh restaurants. We traveled there to visit Diego Rivera's Home and Studio built by the great Juan O'Gorman. Adjacent to Rivera's studio is the house built by O'Gorman for his father. Both buildings are architectural landmarks and the first functionalist buildings built in Mexico.

Fun area to walk around. We visited several indoor and outdoor market stall/vendors. There's the Bazaar which has a lot of beautiful and unique Mexican handicrafts from around the country. There are also at least two parks where artists their works- mostly paintings. It got very crowded quickly so plan accordingly if you want to have a meal. It looked like a lot of restaurants had lines to get in. Also, some of the narrow bazaar areas were way to crowded and felt a little unsafe related to social distancing.

Ah! San Angel! My tour guide and I came here during Christmas Day. Not a lot of people, so we had the chance to walk the cobble stones street of SA. Cute neighborhood with lots of interesting architecture. We ate at a quaint little restaurant and strolled down the small park looking at different paintings by the locals. A nice little neighborhood to see in Mexico City.

We stayed in San Angel for six nights. What a wonderful, historic neighborhood. We always felt safe walking around the cobblestone streets - even at nights. I would highly recommend staying in this neighborhood.

Fantastic neighborhood in Mexico City, full of nice historical residential villas, churches, restaurants inside historical Mexican houses. Green. You will be there if you go to Frida Kahlo house. For car lovers, I would recommend to visit an independent dealer Mulsanne!
