Revolving exhibits are showcasing Mexican artists. The building alone is worth seeing even if a particular artists does not interest you. Even better, no admission fee.

We saw a fascinating exhibit of sculptures by Paloma Torre, an artist previously unknown to us. This museum always seems to have interesting exhibits

I love MUSA. for its excellent exhibitions. I try to visit at least three or four times per year. From modern and unusual like the Chicano painters from Southern California to great masters like Diego Rivera and Maria Izquierdo, the MUSA has it all. Don't go to the gift shop unless you want to spend money on cool cards and postcards.
On my most recent visit, my friend and I tried the little museum restaurant and had an enjoyable snack made by friendly young waiters. MUSA is open every day except Monday from 10AM to 5PM.

My friend and I went to this MUSA to see a special showing of Rivera, Orozco and Siqueiros. I've always liked these artist, but I got another treat and that was a special 'Women of India' exhibit which was phenomenal. I was also impressed with the building and how it was set up for exhibits. Did I say it was free? Unbelievable!

My wife and I came here specifically to see the At Home With Monsters exhibition. After not being able to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, I called the museum and was tools we could get tickets at the door the day of. When we got to the museum we were told there were no tickets until Tuesday.

This is the only reason we came here, and were casually told we had wasted our time and money. I am sorely disappointed in boy the cavalier attitude and inability to be able to get the tickets beforehand, and general lack of compassion shown.

Good morning David, we are very sorry for what happened, we inform you that, according to the policies of Ticketmaster, the tickets must be collected 24 hours before the indicated time or canceled. We would like to know if you will have the opportunity to return to the city to resolve the situation and appreciate the exhibition. We remain attentive, greetings!

The entrance is free, and there is a large room with an enormous painting to see. Sometimes there are temporary exibitions, pretty interesting.

Before I called an Uber today, I checked to see if the space was open via website, Yelp and by calling. There was no indication that it would be closed on a Friday afternoon. I was hoping to see another mural from Orozco, but came to a locked front gate. Apparently my group wasn’t the only one that was disappointed; others came and left as well. I took a couple of exterior photos to post, but that’s it. Sad.

We came here to see a Goya exhibit, and ended up seeing so much more. The place is amazing, and the whole aura of it is great. Beautiful murals by Jose Clemente Orozco, nice history and super architecture. Will definitely come back.

This is a museum that includes everything from popular art, photography, classic art, folk art, and special events. Exhibitions change throughout the year, often from month to month. We were there for a photographic exhibition of the geographical changes in the Border between the US and Mexico from 1848 until today. It was fascinating. The entry fee vary depending on whether you are there for a lecture, a special event, or just a tour of the museum. But it is usually very modest since it is owned and operated by the University of Guadalajara. Don't forget to ask them about the special murals downstairs.
