Unique Orozco murals from a Mexican Muralist era in the same time of Diego Rivera, that brings inquisitive minds to question industrialism, colonialism and the impact on Mexican culture.

Interesting history, amazing archetecture, unbelievable murals! Our tour guide had incredible depth of knowledge on the artist Orozco & gave us insight to the meanings of his frescos. Go here & learn something! Excellent way to spend a couple of hours!

I can't recommend this museum enough. The building itself is so beautiful, with 23 courtyards, dozens of hallways, and lovely architecture. But the art exhibits, and especially the murals, take it to another level.

The best part of our visit was our free one-hour tour in English with Vladimir, a museum guide, who explained some of Guadalajara's and Mexico's history to put Orozco's murals into context, and then suggested interpretations for the murals. He was so engaging and made the tour very interactive. It is very thoughtful of this museum to provide both English and Spanish tours for free. Thank you Vladimir!!

There is a free bag check and plenty of bathrooms available. The admission price was quite low as well - it was 200 MXN for 3 of us.

It’s important to have a guide who can walk you through these wonderful works of art. While Orozco did not name or explain his murals, there are many interpretations of his work. We went with an Airbnb tour and this was our final stop after 2 1/2 hours of touring Centro. FABULOUS!

Incredible murals and other exhibits. We had some trouble finding the other exhibits based on the map, but when we did find them they were well done.

Beautiful architecture and interesting history. Large chapel with murals by Orozco. Several interesting exhibitions in halls divided by courtyards, where you can take a break in shade at a fountain.

This is a vast structure with lots of open space and very little original detail. Don't expect to be wowed, but I do think it's worth seeing.

This is definitely a site you must see if you are staying in the historic center of Guadalajara as I did. The architecture was stunning and the murals by Orozco were breathtaking.

The use of movement in the mural paintings by Oresco is fascinating and suggest a guide explain this to you. It is worth spending a half hour to 45 minutes in this place.
