Located near the beach in downtown Zihuatanejo. It is a small museum with six small rooms with a limited number of items in each. All descriptions are in Spanish but they will give you an English handout to follow. Entry fee is only 10 pesos....More

We were the only ones there. It was a long trip from Zihua, but if you like history and ancient culture up close and unfiltered it was a worthy side trip. Good place to buy hand rolled cigars from the locals

As written, it's small, and the placards are in Spanish, which the guide said they're working on, and you do get a handout in English. Some nice artifacts showing the history and settlement up to and part of the Spanish colonization. Worth a small donation...More

IT is only 6 rooms but very interesting to see. Glad we went in. nicely illustrated with murals. It is in spanish but they give you an english translation pamphlet
