Nice Walk with No Stores

Pretty walk along the water of the bay. I've walked it many times. I would avoid it during the night. There are no escape routes if confronted, there is no one to help you unless... read more

I enjoyed the walk to go into the village but usually we went over one street as we got closer to the center to avoid the waiters trying to pull you in. Never buy the 2 for 1 drink special unless it is beer.

Pretty walk along the water of the bay. I've walked it many times. I would avoid it during the night. There are no escape routes if confronted, there is no one to help you unless you try to jump into the bay over the rocks. During the day is it perfectly fine.

This is a nice walk to and from our hotel to town. It is along the beach and we always feel safe using it. My husband has also fished from it, just don't fish during high tide as told to my husband by a local.

Everyone walks the Malecon. You meet lots of people, pass lots of small hotels and restaurants, and see locals fishing from the rocks. A good walk!

Walked from Hotel IRMA to town, nice walk and great views of the bay and beaches. Lots of fishermen and families on the walls and walkways. At night or early in the morning walk with a group or avoid.

The small concrete walkway follows the shore from the beach at the edge of town south toward a strip of hotels. The path runs on the beach for a short way, and you'll likely be accosted by restaurateurs for the beach restaurants and bars, but if you say "No thanks, not right now" they usually just say "Maybe later". Haven't... More

An enjoyable walk to get back to our hotel in Colonia Madera from Zihuatanejo centro. A lot of people hand fishing off the rocks - saw them catch several fish on our morning walks.

This is the path, that seamlessly joins up to Paseo de Pescador, about 1/2 way down Playa Madeira. Great way to see the whole beach, there are restaurants available, on this end, and the massage tables are on this end, right on the beach. Unfortunately you do need to be carefull, as the guard rails are now nonexistent, do to... More
