My brother never forgets this river experience. Bird life alone makes it worth it, but funky turtles and ferocious huge alligators, it's a must do.

We loved this tour for birding in the San Blas river. We have serious birders and novices in our group and everyone enjoyed it. The birds that the guides could find for us were breathtaking! We got there at 3:00 PM which made it a...More

A relaxing and worthwhile way to spend half a day, especially morning before it gets too hot....the boatman points out in Englisht the wildlife that he spots along the way. Not a lot of different birds this year, but lots of crocs and turtles in...More

When visiting in the San Blas, it is highly advisable to take a boat ride through the estuary and mango swamps just south of town at La Tovara. This is excellent for bird watchers as there are many migratory birds passing through the area all...More

We saw many species of herons and other water birds. Potoos and Pauraque were common. Plenty of falcons and hawks including Snail Kite and Laughing Falcon. If you are a birder, this is the trip for you.

We had a great guide who not only spoke English, he knew so much about all the birds and other animals we saw. Crocodiles, turtles, iguanas etc. We returned in the dark and saw owls and bats. A great trip.

It was recommended that we take an early morning boat trip back into the waters of the San Blas River and explore the birding opportunities. We were also told of the crocodiles and other natural wonders. Our pictures will never let us forget the beauty.

I believe it's free parking. I never really thought of that since we came by cab. But it looks like you can park anywhere here in Mexico.
