This is a very interesting, compact museum. It follows the history of the Navy of Mexico, through photographs and displays of historical artifacts, and all signs are in both Spanish and English so very accessible. Definitely worth a visit!

I have been meaning to check this out for years. What a pleasant surprise! I learned a lot. Nice interactive exhibits. Kid friendly. Highly recommend.

Most of the museum was regarding Spanish colonialism and some about indigenous modes of transportation. There was little about the modern navy, which was what I was interested in.
The visit is not expensive, so you aren't out much if you aren't satisfied.
If it is a hot day, worth going in for the AC.

We spent a few hours here, and didn't expect much, but really it was great. A good little history lesson. Very well done

If you are interested in naval history it's a place to go. It's in no way a big place but a good way to spend an hour or two.

If you want something to do during the heat of the day, this is an interesting and air conditioned option. I learned things that I wasn't taught in American history books. There is an entry fee, but it is really inexpensive. It's conveniently right off the Malecon (Beachwalk) north of the Rio Cuale.

Very interesting and eye-opening about Mexican history. I hadn't realized what a bad neighbor the USA had been over the centuries leading up to World War I. Lots of artifacts, weapons, uniforms, badges, maps, movies, you name it. It takes at least an hour to take in, so you might want to allow two hours.
The Bridge Simulator is fun to run. It has 4 "windows" simulated with realistic screens. It has two engine controls and a rudder control. The user can try to steer a large naval vessel out of a port to the open ocean. It also has buttons to simulate a storm and fog. My friend and I ran it twice and enjoyed both times.

Lots of things you didn't know about the Mexican navy, it's history and training techniques. Inexpensive entry for an interesting hour

Worth going to for the steer a ship simulator. The parts illustrating the use of boats in the conquest of Mexico were interesting.
