We have begun taking cooking classes as part of our vacations , this class did not disappoint. Such a fun day. We were welcomed into the warm home of Enrique and his wife, along with warm and well organized assistants. The class was flawlessly organized and easy to take part in the preparations. The food we prepared was amazing. After... More

This was more than eating, or cooking. There was education of the Mexican culture and history. We started off at an outdoor market that sold meat and fish. Some of the best looking pieces I've ever seen. We also visited the Taco Factory and learned about making mesa and the tortillas. Later this would be put to good use. Then... More

Eighth family trip to Puerto Vallarta and I thought I knew all about the local market! We received a new education and I learned a lot of great information. Nana, Mommy and 7 year old were welcomed by Chef Enrique, his lovely wife and staff for a memorable and hands on cooking experience. I have taken a lot of classes... More

We had a great day at Cookin Vallarta. We were picked up at Galareas Vallarta by Enrique and went directly to a local market to buy our ingredients and get a tour of the market with explanations of all the produce we would be using. I found this very interstin, especially the tortilla machine which was very interesting. Back at... More

We were totally impressed with this experience! Loved all of it. Joana took us to the local market and showed us how to buy all of the ingredients for what we would be cooking with Enrique. We saw how tortillas are made and the fish market, picked out the chicken, the cheeses, and then all of the chiles and vegetables.... More

We started our adventure at a mall near the marina. We chose to do our class when tamales were on the menu. Enrique drove us to a local market area where we shopped for our supplies. Saw them making tortilla in a little shop and got a hot one right off the machine. Anyway, he explained the local culture and... More

Fun day that started of at the local market learning about the different ingredients you will cook with. Once at chefs house, easy to follow instructions and for all skill levels. Made awesome tacos and side dishes - would go again when here.

So much more than we expected. Great hands on view of the local market....so interesting to be in with the locals seeing how they shop. Joana was so interesting explaining the different foods and herbs. Enrique and Eddy (his wife...not sure if I have spelled her name correctly) were very gracious hosts. His whole team was awesome, There were 16... More
