It was fun to leave our resort and see the boardwalk and town. There were some rundown parts that could use some cleaning or updating. The worst part was all the people on the street trying to sell weed/pipes/cocaine

Wonderful sand sculptures. Recommend going at night to catch the sundown and nightly show. Great shopping, wonderful vendors. Quite an experience.

Had a wonderful time strolling down the boardwalk and shopping, drinking and eating my way down it. Its along the ocean with a broad sidewalk with no vehicle traffic. Great for families with kids.

What is it: El Malecon is a 2 mile boardwalk next to the beach. There are gift shops, bars, and restaurants. There are plenty of benches and places to sit. Traffic: On the weekdays is a relatively quiet place to go for a walk, have a drink, window shop or eat something. On the weekends the place is packed with... More

Many restaurants, artisans, musicians and beautiful views. Restaurants range from popular (Señor Frogs) to completely authentic. Feels very safe.

Day or night, there are several miles of safe level walking here. Best time is Sunday evenings in Feb. lots of locals and visitors with lots of food vendors, and arts, and entertainment. Come and enjoy it.

This was a nice walk along the ocean, and it is a good way to see the city and some shops on foot. We enjoyed the pier and all of the sculptures along the way as well. The boardwalk also showcases how friendly the people of Puerto Vallarta are as everyone is out and about and are always willing to... More

Malecon is nice ocean front walkway. Many shops ,bars and places to eat. Cheap drinks. There are always the folks that try to sell you something, but just keep walking and say 'No thanks'.

A must visit attraction, day and night. Great for people watching, restaurants, bars, shops, night clubs, street food, street performers, art and right on the ocean. This is a pedestrian boardwalk, no cars to block your visit. Full view of the Bay of Banderas.
