This place has a great atmosphere with a hidden tourist trap. ATV tours end here before returning. They have the inflated prices clearly on the menu. Aware of the trap we ordered two orders of tacos and 4 beers knowing we would be paying about $50 USD (we live in a predominantly Hispanic town in Ca and pay $35 at home) when food arrived we were brought 4 full orders and gauc salsa and chips. Seeing the attempt at overselling I talked to the waiter who understood and spoke perfect English that wasn’t what we ordered. He said not to worry about it. We ate the food we ordered and left the xtra. The bill came and amounted to $125 USD. I left $60 dollars to be fair understanding we were on vacation and it happens sometimes but was not going to be overly taken advantage of. The older woman who seems to be running everything came and found my wife and said not enough. I quickly said my piece and explained I wasn’t paying more. Noticing that the 3 atv staff was moving in and one was starting to jump in my wife took control paid the money gave me the look to be quite. I did knowing we had no choice to eat it in this situation. Horrible business model my friends. Side note, there were several locals eating here. Knowing the economy I highly doubt locals are driving 30 miles up the hill to pay $125 for tacos and a beer. Greed doesn’t win in the end.

We were forced to stop there on our ATV tour so we ordered some food. Not only was it really expensive, it was the worst Mexican food we've ever had in Mexico or the US. The chips tasted like they had been fried 5 times and both the tacos and quesadillas were made with minimal filling.

We spent a beautiful day with some friends at Rancho Mí Abuelo. Some of the best traditional MX food I’ve eaten after 2 years of living here, a top notch mariachi band, tasty cocktails, and cool freshwater pools fed by the river. Kind attentive service (in English too). Everything was very well done. Quality all the way. It was Sunday so the pools got busy in the afternoon. They said they have fewer guests during the week, but likely also no mariachi band.

For my whole trip I was longing to experience real Mexican food and understand Puerto Vallarta and the place, its people and the culture. It felt like Rancho Mi Abuelo gave me this experience. We arrived on ATV's and were offered drinks and got the opportunity to make tortillas from scratch. The lunch was amazing. Everyone was really friendly. The setting was amazing. It was a very memorably experience and I will remember this as one of the highlights of my trip. It is a beautiful place. Thank you for the love Rancho Mi Abuelo

We stopped here as part of our ATV tour with Xiutla Riders Ecoadventure. The ranch is absolutely beautiful. The family who runs it is warm and welcoming. The whole place had a really relaxing vibe. We did not order food but had wonderful drinks, a lesson on making tortillas, and a great tequila tasting. We toured the property and learned about some of the local vegetation. Thank you to the family for adding so much to our ATV experience.

Cool place. A little bit of a drive but they can offer pickup. Definitely worth it.
We spent a great afternoon there drinking, eating and walking around. But so much to do.
Activities include paintball, mule and horseback rides, dirt bike course, pools, hammocks, camping and cabins.
The drinks are very good. We even had a mango passion fruit margarita.
Food is extremely good. Our orders of Chile rellenos , tuna and steak were all delicious.
Staff is super friendly. Great service.
Love, love this place.

Great little place in the hills just South East of Puerto Vallarta. Stopped here on ATV trip with @Estigo Tours, and it was awesome! Very personable staff, great tequila, and we earned how to make tortillas. The ranch is still in the family from when Luis’ grandfather started it.

This restaurant is way up in the mountains. A total surprise to find. There is a pool...casitas for rent...full service bar...paint ball area. The food was great. The service was great. Had an enjoyable time with friends and family. My granddaughter met us as she rode up on horseback.

My boyfriend and I visited Rancho Mi Abuelo while on a ATV tour with Xiutla Riders Eco Adventure. Maria and Laura greeted us with big smiles and kindly showed us around the beautiful property with several natural pools, cabins for overnight stays and beautiful outdoor dinning areas with a full bar. I had the best margarita of my life here and my boyfriend had a massive michelada that he loved as well. We also ordered the coconut shrimp which was very delicious. While visiting the Rancho we learned to make tortillas and had a tequila tasting (brought a couple bottles home as well). We truly had a great time and were given amazing hospitality. I’m already imagining taking a girls getaway trip here in the future!! A HUGE thank you to the amazing family running this beautiful Rancho! We will be back!!

I rode up to the ranch from PV on an e-bike (about an hour). It’s possible to drive up, but road is a bit bumpy. Some people take horses or ATVs. This is a family business that’s been around for 2 generations. Staff was very welcoming. Food was good. Beautiful river fed swimming pools throughout the property. Did a tequila tasting with the owner (no pressure to buy any though) who seemed very knowledgeable about tequila traditions. A very peaceful place to get away from the bustle of PV.
