A photo captures a single moment in time, and this specialized excursion is designed to capture the magical moment when you encounter wild dolphins and majestic humpback whales in the Bay of Banderas. The essence of the Whale Photo Safari is to find the wildlife and enjoy those precious moments when you can sit peacefully and watch the whales and dolphins play, breach, or just hang out.

An amazing experience seeing this wonderful creatures in their natural environment. The speed boat ride was exhilarating, our guide Benjamin was great (good fun and really knowledgeable). We saw lots of whales and had the most awesome morning ever.

My family and I would like to thank Benjamin for our amazing experience at the whale watching photo safari this past week. We saw over a dozen whales and spent the last hour within feet of these creatures as their group came to our boats to "people watch". So many great pictures and memories. I would recommend everyone take an... More

If you want to get close to the whales, this is a great way. Abraham was our guide and Oscar was the captain and they were excellent. We saw several tail slaps and numerous blows. I would caution that if you can't set for 4 hours without a bathroom break, you may want to take the larger boat (we were... More

Our tour guide Benjamin was unbelievable he knew so much information and was very funny bedside the fact that our motor died and we had to switch boats (which was noones fault things happen) it was amazing we had whales swim under out boat and swim beside our boat for around 20 minutes we also saw 4 other sets of... From start to finish this trip is so worth it. A percentage of the money goes to the environmental agency who look after the area the whales are protected. The captain and the guide were brilliant..the guide has so much information and answers every question and I'm sure he didn't know the answer he wud do what he cud to... More

My husband, 3 other couples and I did the whale watching tour to Las Mariettas island. We actually went in March 2014 but it won't let me go back that far. We booked thru our hotel (Melia, I've written a review for them also) the process was quick and easy. We went to the marina & got on the boat...which... More

Was very apprehensive about this tour as we are both more at home on land but so glad we went. A fantastic day on a speed boat whale watching with a very informative young female guide ( English ), we saw mothers & calfs and a couple of adolescent males in their breeding ground before they head back up to... I loved the small(ish) boat that we were on. It seats probably 25 people or so, with a hard bottom and inflatable sides. I love the water so enjoyed every minute, whether we were gently bobbing up and down or speeding with the motor. If you have a bad back, you may hesitate - the benches do not have backs,... More

We booked this tour as soon as we arrived in mexico as it was the last day of the season and we very luckily got on the tour the next day. We were on a small rib, which was great. We found marine life almost immediately however to my disappointment we didn’t stop. I have marine spotting experience and on... More
