Our tour group met at the Bahia Del Sol hotel (not a part of this tour company) and we walked down the beach at night to see the baby turtle nursery where nests had been moved to for hatching. After seeing a tub of baby turtles that had hatched that day we began walking up and down the beach looking... More

The charity works to facilitate turtle survival. It collects eggs to provide safety for them to hatch. The hatch-lings are then released at a time when the predators are minimal. The staff educate visitors who can watch the baby turtles being released.

I saw a turtle on the beach laying eggs. She went back into the sea and the Turtle Preservation Officer was called. He removed the eggs and drove off. I always wondered what happened to the eggs. I booked the trip through the Expedia Rep who works at the Now Amber Hotel. We went by taxi to the offices at... More

We where a group of 7 (1 teen included) we had the best guide "Melissa" super friendly, accommodating, very knowledgeable & so much fun!! We started off at the sanctuary, then moved to the beach to release the baby turtles! Was so much fun! Then came the highlight that wasn't part of the tour!! We got to experience something very... There was only 10 of us that went on this tour which was the perfect amount of people! We started off watching a video all about sea turtles which had a lot of information that I did not know about! We then got in a van and drove a couple minutes to a crocodile sanctuary that I didn't even know... More

This was the most spirit lifting experience! We started the tour at the crocodile sanctuary, we learnt about the different trees and the crocodiles. We (hopefully) planted some trees and got to see some babies! Bring bug spray, it's definitely needed! Then we went to the turtle camp and it was so amazing! The staff were wonderful and sweet! Make... More

Started our tour by going to a sanctuary for alligators, parrots etc...was very cool, but do bring bug spray, you will need it. Our tour guide was awesome, Francisco (hope I got the name correct) had a love of birds (as do I) & was very knowledgeable. Releasing the tiny baby turtles was such a good feeling, my daughter has... Hubby and I joined another family of four to visit the Crocodile Sanctuary just across the border outside of Jalisco. There we were able to view several crocs as well as some other animals (mainly goats/farm animals etc) and watch a video about sea turtles. Melissa and Christina (?) were our guides and they were very friendly. They fed us... More

New friends grabbed us at dinner and told about the release of baby turtles at the north end of PV. Finishing dinner and grabbing a taxi, we got there in time to hold the turtels and join the release-group. Vrty fun, and very interesting to watch the young turtles work their way to the water. Great for any age.
