Great strolling beach

The beach can be overcrowded due to its popularity, but this is a gorgeous beach with lots of options for food. Many beach front restaurants. Nice and quiet in the AM.

This is the most swimmable beach in the city of Puerto Vallarta itself. Surprisingly it is right in central Puerto Vallarta along the malecon, which allows you to have walking access to the beach and water activities and be just steps away from restaurants and other amenities. Great for walking, swimming, water activities, people watching, and simply relaxing.

Green and blue chairs are gay HQ in PV. Grab a bucket (or three) of beers or some margaritas, order delicious beach food and settle in for the day. The waves can be a little rough - but the sand is white and the eye candy is great. Must do!

One of the best beaches for locals and tourists alike. Great for people watching, socializing, and just chilling under one of the many palapas. Many vendors work the beach, yet they are not bothersome. Fresh BBQ'd mahi mahi fish, and shrimp are readily available to purchase on the beach....no need to leave the beach to go eat!

Visited the Beach on 1/3/2017 . We took the local Bus (centro bus) from Marina Vallarta (8peso) and got off at the last stop and the beach was two block walk . Nice beach ( a little rocky ) you can get a tent &chairs for 400 peso from a hotel or order food from restaurant and they will provide... More

Too busy for this small area of beach. Too many people trying to sell the same thing Too many deck chairs and loungers hogging the area! But there is very little beach area downtown Puerto Vallarta so it needs the tourism department to improve the area by the Puerto Vallarta sign to make it a beach area to off load... More

You can walk the small Malecon, intermittent sand, pavement or wood decking for a leisurely stroll up and down the Playa de los Muertos, stopping along the way in beach bar/restaurant kind of way ... this niehborhood is much more laid-back than the Playa in Centro .... touristy, but enough local and expat to keep in real. We love it.... More

Pretty beach with warm waters and a clean coast line. Lots of restaurants and bars to chill out and sip margaritas. Family friendly. You'll like the adjoining promenade which takes you right into Old Town for shopping and sightseeing. Only drawback are the beach vendors. They never give up!!
