Average place, they discriminate against Nationals.
We went to this place which is paradise, the decor is amazing, the music is simply spectacular and the cutomer service is awesome, prices are ok, drinks are enjoyable and place is clean all way around. The only thing I did not like was tha when they found out that we were from USA, we passed thru the door like faster than a train but they made their national tourists wait outsde for i would say a good 45 minute period and some were turned away, I do not like discrimination against anyone so that is why I give this place 3, not fun when not all of us can enjoy equally.

    Little young, but fun
My girlfriend and I decided to go here based on the entertainer at our hôtel's recommendation. The price was very reasonable, around $30US for open bar. We never had to ask for a drink, service was outstanding. The crowd was a little young (not sure if some were even 18) but we wanted to dance and had fun nonetheless. The only bad thing I can say is that the bouncer outside the bathroom kept harassing my girlfriend every time she went to the bathroom. Eventually I had to escort her there since he wouldn't leave her alone. Hope they get rid of that guy. Otherwise, great place. They even escorted us from and to the taxis, we felt super safe

Good music, nice environment but horrible costumer service
I came here with a couple of friends after walking the boardwalk and having dinner. They were having their halloween party. My friends and I were let in free of charge which I thought was pretty cool. We walked in and there is a section that is marked off for those that are purchasing bottle service which we were not planning to do.. anyway we preceded to a small round tall table( the kind you stand around) and went and got drinks and had a good time dancing and talking to the people at tables around us until about 1 am when a guy(worker) brings a group of females to our table and tells me to move becasue the table was reserved and I said no it is not and that we were told we could be there cause this was the area that didnt require reservations. He looked at me and said by who and I pointed out the server that explained to us how everything worked when we first arrived and he said well it is now and I said well were are we supposed to go and he said I dont know and I dont care and then proceeded to show the ladies he brought over the menu for bottle service. Clearly they were busy and wanted to make money off the bottle service but they could have been a lot more professional about the situation and or offered up another table to the ladies cause there were plenty on the top section... anyway they play good music but I probably wouldnt venture back inside due to the rudeness of this employee, next time we will go to The establishment next door... I think its called The Zoo...

Like the other reviews stated, this place is a scam. My friends and I went in because we were told ladies drink for free. We each got a round of margaritas, and all paid, which is fine. But when one of the women in the group asked for her free drink, they told us that we already got the free drink, and that we now had to pay for more drinks. We got up to leave, and the bouncers blocked the entrance, saying that we had to pay for our drinks. The whole thing ended with us arguing with several bouncers for 5-10 minutes until they eventually let us leave.

If you don’t want to be scammed and trapped in the bar by bouncers, I’d recommend avoiding this place.

IF YOU ARE A TOURIST…AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

They are HUGE scammers. They took drink orders and made us pay up front, the cost was $250 pesos for a Malibu and pineapple juice! Then when we went to leave they added those ALREADY PAID FOR DRINKS to the bill and MADE us pay for them all again before we were allowed to leave!!!!

It may look like a fun atmosphere…but ENTER WITH EXTREME CAUTION. Better yet…DON’T ENTER AT ALL!!!!! ⚠️⛔️☢️⚠️

SCAM!!!! I’ve been coming here for 15+ years. I’ve always been told to avoid malecón clubs but this trip I decided to try it because it was one of my friends 21st birthday. We go there and I ask for ONE SINGULAR VODKA CRAN!!! They bring us out a bottle. Immediately I tell them that I only ordered one drink. They tell us cuz they opened it already that we have to pay. Do not go here!!! Scam scam scam. This is a tourist scam.
There is many other bars/clubs that people can enjoy without worrying. Please do your research!!’

Just avoid this place altogether to make it easier on yourself. We got in "free" on a Sunday night with a group of 4 because a friend wanted to dance and she liked the music she was hearing. I believe we had maybe 9-10 drinks + a round of Red Bull for some of the stuff and the bill came out to over $250 USD so it's relatively pricey all things considered. There wasn't quite a way to verify the prices either so it really could just be par for the course. I guess that's a club for you. The uncomfortable part came at the end when my husband wanted to pay. They walked away with my husband's credit card AND ID for quite a while and then, when they finally got back, had him sign the receipt a couple different times to ensure the signature matched his ID. You should just be checking the name against the ID, you shouldn't need to take the ID away like that especially for that long which allows time for them to take down all his personal information. Definitely bred distrust for me.

This was a dope club vibe, the club is located on the boardwalk. The staff was attentive and amazing. The drinks were not watered down. The dj was on point, he kept the crowd going...

I will never go back to this club - it is absolutely a scam! We went for my sister’s bachelorette party and I had purchased 2 VIP tables for our large party of 19 people (the website said up to 10 people per table). When we get there, we are led up to a tiny section with two 3 ft tiny plastic grey tables and told that we have to fit 19 women into a space that should fit 5 people. It would have been physically impossible for our group to have fit in that space, and the staff just continued to argue back that that is the space I get for paying $2200 USD for two tables (advertised as the VIP tier online). You can tell that they do this often and get over on people by their lackluster response to my simple question of how they could possibly think a group of 19 people could fit in the small allotted space. In addition, their website was extremely misleading, most of the tequila options we saw were bottom shelf (we saw a lot of Jose Cuervo), most of the staff had an attitude and the fan that was above our section didn’t work on a very hot night. We ended up making the most of it but even the staff at our Airbnb let us know upon our return that Mandala is a huge scam. We ended up making the most of our time but I could not leave without documenting the troubles we experienced and hopefully preventing another group from making the same mistake that we did. Bad business is bad business.

I will start by saying that my friends and I had a great time. We pre-purchased a section online which was very easy to navigate. When we got there, we had more people than the table allowed for, and they figured out a way to accomodate us which was great. Also, the bathroom was beautiful and clean!

The bad news is that upon checking in, the guy in security tried to steal my wallet. He checked my small purse (THOROUGHLY). He thought I wasn't in my right mind, and didn't think I would check my bag before walking off, but I did. I told him multiple times that I couldn't find my wallet. He acted like he didn't hear me. Finally, I said I wasn't moving without my wallet. He pointed to it. They had put it into a basket off to the side. I was literally shook that he almost got away with it. I didn't make a stink about it because we were there for a special occassion, but BEWARE. If you do decide to go there, some of the workers are THIEVES. Keep your stuff secure, and do not take much with you at all.

We just visited this club last night, off the back of our hotel doing a paid trip there as a set group (700 pesos per person, transport there and open bar)

Originally we were really excited to head out to the centre and see the nightlife. The club itself is nice - little small for a dance floor but nothing too bad, the staff were friendly and helped us with getting drinks (as we had a free bar from 10pm-2am).

Within the next hour (11pm) the waiter came up to myself and began to tell me I need to tip him or I should tip him now for his service (an hour into the night, barely even sat down) I said I will later as we are planning to stay till late. Time goes by and he’s not only asked and demanded from myself, he’s asked my brother, my girlfriend (when she’s by herself) and my brothers girlfriend numerous times. Then proceeded to get the other female waitress to ask the girls.

It comes to the end of our free bar and we’re dancing and I see the waiter and waitress with two security guards standing over my brother and his girlfriend again (around 1:50am) - they’re telling us they take cards for tips and no coins just high value notes?? I go over and he’s demanding I tip him and i told him that it’s not how it works.
We weren’t planning to leave at that point as we enjoyed our night and met people there. But off that interaction alone and the whole process throughout the night we ended up really disliking it and told them we’re just going to leave and won’t have the last drinks we had from our free bar.

F.Y.I all of us are very much up for tipping and were going to at the end of our night as we were enjoying it. However when you’re continuously hounded by waiters telling you that you HAVE to pay them extra, you lose that sense of generosity very quickly.
Especially when they can’t remember your orders or you have to ask multiple times till it comes and then on top of that have them spill a table of drinks on your feet.

Came with a few friends, ended up paying $450 for two bottles that were kinda forced upon us. Even if we we’re okay woth paying that much, it’s not worth it. Club is below average. If you really want to check it out, pay the 20 pesos for cover and stay upstairs where the locals are.
