Low Overhead Lu type of operation!!

We were approached on the street near the Mega Store. The salesperson, Yeles, seemed legit and the info & price didn't seem to bad. Said that they would pick us up at our hotel... read more

When we booked the Stone Island tour, we were told we would see the pirate caves, the sea lions and if there were whales we would watch them for a bit. When we boarded the catamaran, it was evident that my husband and myself were the only English speaking people there. The entire time, everything was explained in Spanish with... More

This was the biggest disappointment on our entire trip to Mazatlán. We purchased the tour to Stone Island from a beach vendor, which was our first mistake. He lured us in by giving us a large discount which the operation then failed to honor when it came time to actually pay for the tickets. The place was jam packed (most... More

We had a group of over 30 people ride a boat with Puesta del Sol for the Naval Combat at Carnaval 2016. Beware! Puesta del Sol sells 150 tickets and has seating for 75. If you have a group or do not have a seat once you board the crew will not get you one even if you ask without... More

My wife and I wasted half a day going on this tour. $40 for the two of us to float on a run down catamaran that docked on a shady draw dock. Stepped off the cat onto stone island, took a dump truck ride to a run down, disgusting little building where your free drinks consist of warm beer in... More

Terrible experience. Do not book with this tour company. Reputable hotels to not use this company. Often sold on the beach from vendors. - very unprofessional - sketchy -old boat, falling apart with broken moldy life jackets - no drinks on boat Stone island is very beautiful & enjoyable when experienced with a reputable company.

We were approached on the street near the Mega Store. The salesperson, Yeles, seemed legit and the info & price didn't seem to bad. Said that they would pick us up at our hotel lobby. When the time came, we were waved to the street because our security wouldn't let them in. The catamaran is a relic from another era.... More

We sailed to this port on the Carnival Miracle. Rather than booking an excursion through the cruise line, we opted to set off on our own. I will admit, we discussed this with Tomas, a member of our crew on our sailing excursion in Cabo San Lucas who was from Mazatlan. We walked a short 10 minutes from the cruise... More

I love doing the Stone Island Tour with Puesta del Sol. Every time I am with a 1st timer to Mazatlan, I take them on this tour. It can be overpriced, depending on where you buy your tickets. And lately, they seem to rush through it more and more. With that said it is a great experience. I love the... More

I can't speak to other people's experience with Catamaran Puesta de Sol, but my wife and I went on our Wednesday in Mazatlan at it was awesome! First things first, we purchased our tickets through a beach vendor up in the Golden Zone. Full price tickets for the excursion with 2 activities is $400MX each but my wife and I... More

I wanted to enjoy my day at Puesta del Sol and the Stone Island, and in many ways I did. The problem is that we pre-paid 400 pesos per person for the boat ride and two activities, and on the activity card we circled horseback rides and a wagon ride. We promised our kids a boat ride and horseback rides.... More
