Beautiful as always, but under severe construction right now, which took away from the usually awesome ambience.

Thanks to the local government you ARE NOT going to be able to enjoy the beautiful malecón (board walk) because they been doing eternal improvement work on the area however it looks like they won't be able to finish it EVER!!!

10km of open boulevard and plenty of views, beaches, vendors, restaurants and people watching. Like Puerto Vallarta but 5 times longer. I expect more statues and shops upon completion, which will add to the walk. Excellent way to burn off a little holiday excess. Many...More

Some parts of the boardwalk was under construction but when it's all finished, it will be awesome and clean and beautiful!

Although scenic, there is a lot of construction and closures at this time on some parts of the malecon. Walking for long distances is not recommended since there is loud noise, blockages and some dangerous spots.

This is where the Locals and Tourists alike hangout and Chill. Great people watching place. Half of it has been ripped apart for a REDO but don't let that deter your enjoyment of the other totally renovated Walkways and vista views.

Worth seeing the cliff diving, statues and ocean. Be prepared for constant harassment of vendors. Cliff diving severely overrated

Both are good choices. Both are beaches. The Malecon is lined with restaurants and great for walking. Brujas is further from the port and more secluded with a beautiful beach. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Enjoy!

There is no fee to walk, sit or swim, but there are many restaurants and shops where you could spend money

No, you cannot walk from the cruise ships. We stopped on a tour that included the Malecon booked onboard the ship.
