The Plaza Machado is anchored on one end by the Casa Machado, home of wealthy Filipino traders, and on the other end by the Escuela Municipal de Arte. In between are loads of restaurants, all with outdoor seating, to choose from. Most nights there is live music. The setting is very scenic, with arches, historic architecture, a kiosk in the... We only passed through a few times. Was lovely at night. Restaurants appeared to look inviting and have wonderful ambiance. If we had had more time we would have eaten in the square!

Pedro y Lolas restaurant is a definite at the plaza. Be sure and ask for Alex - I've known him for years and he is the best waiter in Mazatlan

They have good restaurants around the plaza. Very good food and local flavor. On Sunday night they had stands to shop along with the food at the restaurants

I would not make a trip to this town for this attraction but if in town I would recommend you walk through the building and enjoy the courtyard and mural.

Artistes display their artistic creations which are great fun to see. Bands play at each end of the park. Ariel, a fabulous band, played Friday night in the gazebo. Street dancers performed during the band's break and two Native American dancers performed. It was a truly fun evening.
