Lots of historical buildings and interesting history around the neighborhood. Lots of good trendy restaurants as well.

You need to visit. Great eateries on the plaza, lots of activity, people watching, Theatre , often live music, on the weekends the streets are blocked off to vehicle traffic. Feels like a small town in Europe.

Plaza Machado is a step back in time. The plaza is preserved/restored to the beauty of years past. Dining along the plaza, listening to music, browsing the vendor offerings all make for a delightful experience!

A lively place in the evening. Especially on Friday night when there is music and art vendors. This is a good place to start or finish a walk through the old city.

Nice, smaller plaza surrounded by several good restaurants. Great place to people watch and a popular location for weddings. Right next to the Angela Peralt Theater so it is convenient for dinner and a live show.

We love to pile in a fish truck and head to Plaza Machado to enjoy their good restaurants. Always a lively scene, sometimes with dancers, performers, live music and families strolling after dinner. Don't miss this charming spot.

We love this place and the service is always excellent! I had a Greek salad that was superb and my friend loved her Caprese Salad. We'll be back!

The Plaza Machado is in Centro Historico and is about a 30 minutes north along the coastal road, the Malecon. A nice taxi or pulmonea ride - but to far to walk.

There are several shops, restaurants and a city center (Plaza Machado) near the ship dock; however, the beach is too far to walk to. If you want to go to the beach or boardwalk (malecon), you can take a pulmonia. Pulmonias... More
