The theater is beautiful inside with seating in a horse-shoe shape. Some seats in the second row at the top of the theater are not view seats so be aware.Visited December 2022Written 5 January 2023

There are no snacks or drinks allowed in the theater or available for purchase. The process of getting the tickets at the theater was very disorganized and took an hour. The problem could have been with the specific shows staff rather than the theaters staff. Sat on the first row side which provided a great view of the stage. Would recommend attending a show there but get your tickets in advance.Visited January 2023Written 23 February 2023
- Channing B4 contributionsBeautiful theater, stange booking methodStunning restored theater! We attended a concert while in MZT and I only have two complaints. First, in order to get tickets online it directs you to message the theater via WhatsApp, which felt sketchy. We went there for the show anyway and found that they were sold out of tickets, but as we were leaving the box office, two wonderful people approached us as sold us their extra tickets at cost. Ultimately we didn't get to be together for the show, but it was still very enjoyable. The only other issue is that they didn't do a great job with volume management for the show - it was more than loud enough for a much larger space - and should have been evaluated better prior to the performance, but that's likely an issue on the part of the show itself, not the theater. Overall I would say4-4.5/5. If you like older theaters, this is a must see.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 July 2023

Very nice theater, very nice music. My wife and I attended a concert organized by Gordon Campbell and featuring his son playing violin. The venue is really quite striking and the acoustics were excellent. It was wonderful to partake of a good classical music performance given by interesting performers. The pianist who accompanied the Campbell family was truly excellent. It wasn't clear to me how many in the audience were visitors and how many were local residents or Mexicans on holiday but Mr. Campbell, who spoke to the audience at various times in the performance, alternated between English and Spanish and is fluent in both.

As part of a cruise excursion in Puerto Vallarta, we visited the theater. Loved the box seats and the detail of the building. The history of the opera house and the story of Angela Peralta were very interesting.

The concerts here are varied and it is a very comfortable place to watch them. There really are no bad seats, but the floor seats are definitely more comfortable than the cheaper seats in the balconies. A really intimate setting for concerts.

What a beautiful theater! The ballet was stunning. We would never get this value in Canada for such a great show.

We mad the mistake of going to the Historic Center on a Monday and the art museum and the Archeological museum were closed. But there is still a lot to see. We happened to be passing by the Angela Peralta Theater and there was a tour on the theater which we decided to take and it was excellent. We heard the history and we got to see the inside of the theatre, a modern theater, and then viewed a art exhibit along one of the hall ways. The cost was 20 pesos as I remember.

We live the theatro and the concerts/shows there. We have only been able to buy tickets in person for cash. Is it possible to purchase tickets in advance? We would like to buy tickets for the January-May events before we arrive in January. Thanks.

Not sure other then going directly to the theatre because of the time constraint. I do recall most of the arrangements we made could be made through the concierge at our resort. If not staying at one try anyway. They are extremely helpful with a little "incentive" .
