We have been here 3 times before. The Achitecture outside is stunning. On entering you will be amazed at the Ornate and wonderful old and beautiful display of religious items . There is a sense of peace that you get, and a sense of history in this building. Everyone shows a sense of reverence on entering. It's a Spiritual not... More

Must see when you visit the Historical District, that big indoor market, the art district, etc. Beautiful buildings and restaurants in the immediate area.

The church is a large part of the history here and in all of Mexico. We did a city tour and learned about the history of the church, the set up of the square and why the catholic religion is so important in Mexico. The details in the church are beautiful and the market is blocks away.

Vendors were on the streets selling pretty things made of woven palm fronds and a procession of costumed worshippers led the way down the aisle. It was a very special time. We went back to... More

This is a beautiful church. Lots of detail to the building. Truly enjoy this site while in Mazatlan. Upon entering there are a lot of locals praying or just sitting. I tried to respectfully take photos of the artwork. There was a woman above painstakingly cleaning all of the railings. Such a beautiful place

Mazatlan was first founded in the 1500s, but the cathedral dates to the late 1800s. It is an interesting blend with some mid eastern influence coupled with traditional gothic european style. The services if you are Catholic are impressive with the sound and music echoing from the high, ornate ceilings during mass. It is also a time to experience the... More
