The Malecon goes right by so it is easy to access. You can watch the fishermen and shrimp boats come in and sell fresh goods. The sand is nice and clean but the water can be quite rough. There are lots of places to eat along the way or to stop for a drink. There are vendors on the beach... More

This beach is the ORIGINAL beach for Mazatlan. The entire strip has sidewalk Cafe's and a great sunset view! The waves can be a bit strong for young kids though.

We arrived in time to see the the last of the fishermen bringing in their boats. Their boats are not large, usually a couple of men per boat. We watched them getting them out of the water and to higher ground using logs to roll the boats up...a live and learn moment for us. One of the local told us... More

I was approached by at least 30 different vendors that are walking around trying to sell you some crap on the beach. I will never go back.....

It's the downtown beach. Easy to get to, and easy to enjoy. Many restaurants as well as quiet spots to laze, enjoy the sun and the sunsets!

Olas Atlas beach is overlooked by some travellers given its small size nestled between rocky shores and location south of downtown. The divers entertain for tips just north of the beach, and it's a real local hangout along the Malecon there with lots of street food. It was quite overcast during our last visit, but we unexpectedly ended up seeing... More

It is lovely to walk along the malecon (sidewalk along the beach). Colorful shrimp fishing boats sit on the sand. If you arrive early you can buy shrimp freshly caught. There are talapa restaurants right on the beach and interesting side. streets. And always, good open air restaurants ...

Great beach without vendors. A great place to meet locals as well. Many stores nearby to get beach snacks and drinks. Also had a pool area on the north end for more protected swimming.

Interesting area to walk around. Lots of nice cafes, shops & restaurants. Beach is beautiful. We always make at least one trip there during our visits to Mazatlan.
