Take a visit to Stone Island is a must when you visit Mazatlan. Take a tour or use the local bus system and cross with a water taxi. Spend the day at the beach or have lunch at one of the restaurants. The view is absolutely breathtaking !!!

Great trip...fun excursion! Good food, all the drinks you can drink...horse back ride through the coconut grove, kayaking and a pretty wild banana boat ride. All fun...great for teens!

We have done the Stone Island Tour and if it's your first trip there, I would recommend doing that. However, your time is VERY limited while there and even though they say "free drinks and lunch included" you get better food & drinks if you go yourself. The tour doesn't leave the harbor till after 10am and then it does... More

Peaceful ferry ride over, less people, plenty of food shops. Walked fr ferry to beach, to get a real feel of the village.

I've done lots of tours before, and this was by far my least favourite. The activities at the island were terrible. The horseback ride was about 15 minutes long. Felt like a pony ride at the fair. The kayak had a leak, and the waves made it too rough to paddle far. Most of the time we just sat at... More

We went for a long walk on the beach. The restaurants aren't as good as the ones in town, but the beach is incredible and there are plenty of coconuts to satiate your thirst!

This was an excursion from my cruise. We took a small boat through the mangroves around stone island. We saw 29 kinds of birds. Negative was the amount of trash in the water. So many plastic bottles. After the boat ride we went to a restaurant on the beach. The beach was beautiful and food adequate but nothing special. The... More

The trip was very nice, cost about half then booked by the cruise line. Our tour guide took care of us, organizing activities according to wish and ordering lunch for us. We chose banana boat ride and kayak, which was included in our price. We bought extra ATV ride 30 minutes, which was not so good. it is only along... More

Nice enough beach, not so easy to get to unless there is a tractor wagon waiting for you. Lots of beach vendors. Food was average and typical. To me it was nothing better than other beaches. Fine if you want to go, but not special.

Booked tour through Mazatlan Tours which was actually run by Playa Sur with Jorge as our tour leader. Definitely worth the price!! and Jorge was VERY knowledgeable and had a great tour of the harbor area including caves and sea lions... We got lunch, drinks, 2 activity tickets....just like offered by Cruise Ship at a MUCH LOWER price!! Would definitely... More
