Grateful for Marlena's restaurant and other beaches that are within a short drive. The personal attention at Marlena's, service and food make it worth a stop in Barra. Other beaches worth seeing are La Manzanilla, Punta Perula and Isla Cocina.

Spent a day touring Barra, Malachi and La Manzanilla with special lunch at Mary's Restaurant. Over the years it has always been a destination place for our first time visitors to the area. Great for walking and easily accessible.

This was kind of a long drive from our resort and only slightly worth it. There were a few shops that were a little more authentic art. One store in particular had some nice beaded work. The view along the beach was nice.

That's the easiest way; what DJ wrote. You can hire a cab driver as another option. Negotiate the price. He can offer other things in addition to Barra Navidad. It's about 45 minutes each way driving there; bus may take... More
