Got there, saw it in 30 min, could do it in less. Mexican city center of a poor city. When Manzanillo was growing, it forgot to update the city center. To avoid - way more interesting places to be around

Thought we would walk around. It is a very interesting area. Felt safe & encountered no issues. Made some small purchases from the street vendors - they refused to barter - which was a bit of a surprise.

Overall not a pretty City, and smoggy. Whole area smoggy. Would doubt if I’d return. Puerto Vallarta is much prettier and a lot less smog and industry. Reasonable prices though.

We enjoyed walking along the malecon and stopping in many of the shops. Very scenic and beautiful. We will plan to go back.

We took a cab ride over to see what this side of Manzanillo looked like. We were surprised at how big the port area is = you have to drive a good 5-7 minutes around the area to connect from the boulevard to the centro....More

We walked around the main plaza and "El Malecon", where we found a great sculpture, symbol of Manzanillo, which is a very big sword fish. The Place was clean, there are several market sites and restaurants where to have a drink and something to eat.

Nice sculptures. Great view. Gives you a good idea of what manzanillo is about. Nice walk. Lots of restaurants. Lots of gelato!

Main plaza area with views of the commercial ship operations as Manzanillo is Mexico's largest port. Nice market area to walk through about 4 blocks away. Negotiate with the taxi drivers back to your hotel as they will try to over-charge. Check with your hotel...More

We walked around the Malecon area and downtown. We found some great places to have a bite to eat and some interesting sites. We were surprised at the size of the container port here. Very busy rail and container port.
