I had a good time at this zoo--lots of different birds, monkeys, and felines to see. There is an area where you can feed the giraffes, which was super cool! There is also apparently a live seal show you can attend, although I didn't have the time. All in all, a fun experience hanging out with the animals!

My name is Kevin Patricio Quiñones Uriarte and I live in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Luckily, I visited the Zoo many times in past years, so I have a reference in how the zoo has changed with the pass of the years. I hoped that the zoo would have changed for better but when I started my visit this past Sunday, I shocked because of the aviary status, the whole place was deteriorated, everything was cover with birds poop, the floor of wood did not have some planks, the habitats were all dirty (without maintenance), and a lot of problems that affected the experience of the trip. Besides the aviary there were other points where the zoo leave the visitor with a bad taste in the mouth, all the animals looked sad and there were cages without animals and the reptiliary was closed and for what I know it has been closed since the start of the year, the costs of the food are very expensive and that makes very difficult to families to afford the complete joy of the trip. In the good side of the thinks if you go to the zoo with your family at the weekend you can have a good time, the entrance cost is cheap being 25 pesos the cost for kids and 30 pesos the cost for adults, you can see the animals and if you are a little kid the animals will amaze you with their majesty. In conclusion, the zoo is still a good place to visit but it needs a lot of investment to recover the wonder lost in the past years.

The Culiacan’s zoo is an awesome experience for many things. It has animals from all over the world, for example, lions, giraffes, parrots, and colorful fishes. While you are in the zoo, you can have a tour with an expert, so you can understand better the lifestyle of these amazing animals. Also, it has many activities for all ages. For example, for the little ones, there are recreational courses where they can learn about the animals and have fun at the same time. Going with your family y also a great option. The zoo has bathrooms, a nice gift shop where you can buy souvenirs like teddies, caps, t-shirts, etc. Also, there is a good food zone where you can it with family and friends after having an exciting tour around the zoo. We know that nowadays there are many movements against the zoos because they abuse the animals, but in the zoo of Culiacan is a different case. The workers of this place, give lots of love to the animals, take care of them, feed them, and they even name theme. So, if you want to have an awesome experience in Culiacan, you have to go to the zoo.

The last week I visit the Culiacan Zoo because I needed to record a video for a project. I was excited with the idea of visiting the zoo because when I was little I loved to visit it because the animals were beautiful and the facilities were in good conditions. I have not been to the zoo for more than 4 years. Unfortunately, my visit to the zoo in Culiacán was not to my liking this time because the animals were not in good conditions. They looked sick and too skinny. In addition, the facilities were not in good condition. Although some time ago they renewed the facilities, they do not give them the necessary maintenance to keep them beautiful. The animals had no water and the space they were in was very small, also, the space they were in was dirty it seems like they do not clean the cages. I think they could do a better job in keeping the animals in good conditions by giving the animals the attention they need. The authorities definitely have to move the facilities to a bigger place so the animals can live in a bigger place where they can run and walk freely and not just in circles. The animals deserve to have medical attention, food and liberty. I am so disappointed with the fact that the government do not give enough importance to something like this. They need to take action because all the animals will not live long under these conditions.

When I went to the zoo I noticed it is very neglected and the cages are very ugly. Also, it is kind of abandoned and people tend to leave the place because of its bad smell. Other thing that I noticed when I went is that the things that they sell in the store of souvenirs or snacks it is very expensive, you could buy the same stuff outside for less money and save some money. Facilities in the zoo are very bad. The majority of the cages where animals live does not have water o If they need water in it habitat it is polluted and green. In addition, that water makes the animals to get sick or to smell bad. Furthermore, cages are not big enough for some animal they live there like bears, lions, jaguars, tigers, etc. Some other animals are not well fed and they have some type of malnutrition causing illness or bad formations in their developing.

Zoos were created to people, children, young people or adults for meet animals that exist in the world, baecuse is very difficult to visit the places where they are from and know how they live. But when I visited this zoo, I realized that the zoo even look like one. The cages are in very bad shape, also the area of the birds, serpents, etc. Also, I noticed that the animals have a poor care, they look sad, tired and sick, it has bad smell, it is really disgusting. In addition, the price of the visit is very expensive and the zoo dont worth it. A good zoo must always have their cages clean, and should be large enough for the animals comfort. Also, the animals should always look comfort, clean and animated. I hope one day this zoo will be better, for all that animals that are suffering and to improve the visits of the zoo.

My experience visiting this place was very good, for me that I have visited several zoos in the country, I think that this is without a doubt one of the best. I think that in this park they takes good care of the animals, because they look well cared for and also well fed. The living environment is clean so you can walk around the park without any warning. Also this zoo has a wide collection of wildlife such as cats, primates, birds, herbivores and reptiles among which are very interesting animals such as cheetah, king vulture, giraffe, chimpanzee, white lion, lemur of Madagascar, arboreal boas and monsters of Gila. The tour begins visiting the birds, which are in a large cage that you can enter without problem, inside there the birds can fly around you as if they were in their natural hábitat. Soon there is the feline area, where you will find the most impressive species found in Africa and other parts of the world. There is an area where it is an open area where it is a simulation of the savannah. There you can find several types of birds and mammals and one of the most interesting attractions is to feed the giraffes. To finish the tour and if you are hungry, there is a small restaurant at the entrance, where you can eat a lunch such as prepared potatoes, cakes, sandwiches, etc. This place is a place where you can spend pleasant moments with your family and live with the animal world that nature gives us

Okay, my name is Alberto and I live in Culiacan. I used to visit the zoo at least once every month with my family many years ago. I really like animals, in fact, my favorite is the small breeds of chimpanzees. Anyway, a few days ago I visited the zoo after many years on Sunday, my reason for the visit was a school work, although it did not matter because I had time to enjoy the place one more time. I arrived early and there were not so many people, from now on, this is where I started to see some several mistakes. First of all, many of the crystals they had were blurred so I could not appreciate that much. Also, many cages were empty or the animal or the information sheet did not match with the one it was in at that time. Another factor that I did not like was that they were doing repairs at that time, being the hour where there are more people, I don’t think it was necessary. And finally, above all, what I hate the most was the smell in some parts. I would like to say that this does not come from animals, I'm sure how animals smell. However, that place stinks. That is something that urgently needs to be fixed because at least at me, It pushback from the zoo to never come back. In the end, it was not so bad, but I empathize those points that should improve, a bit bittersweet the visit

When I arrived to Culiacan Zoo, I expected to see a better zoo because I have not been there for a while, but I saw the contrast. First of all, there is no energy in the zoo you can feel it like an abandoned place which is waiting to disappear. Animals are unhappy, they jump or move in rarely occasions, I just miss the days when the zoo used to be amazing. However, this is not only zoo´s employees fault it is fault from the the government which stopped the inversion in the zoo. For example, like 5 years ago there used to be a bear, but now there is no bear and now the best achievement of the zoo is obtained a giraffe by loan.
Then, the hygiene conditions. These conditions are horrible. When I entered with my friends to do a work this weekend, I could feel how my nose was begging to finish with this. In addition, you can see animals dirty, a notice for employees "you need to clean the animals", specially monkey´s cage because it smells like sewer and to be worse you can see poop in the floor.
Finally, the structure is too weak. When my friends and I went to the aviary, the floor was made of woods, but these woods were in bad conditions so you could hear the crunch of wood and there was an announcement of "Be careful where you step". Instead of fixing the problem, they just wait to see what happen.
In conclusion, Culiacan Zoo has to many things to improve, but it needs to start right now to reborn as the good zoo it used to be.
