Very clean and organized. A small fee to enter. Allow a lot of time to read the placards on the displays in English or Spanish. Very nice collection of historic maps. They keep a constant eye on you as you browse. The restroom should only...More

A very interesting and educational museum with some fascinating exhibits. A visit to this museum gives the visitor an insight into the history of the place and the way of life of the folks in days gone by.

As one of, if not THE first mission in the Californias, the attached museum features artifacts and information about the priests who founded the mission and their time.

Our group of 40+ enjoyed this museum. It is fairly basic, but we enjoyed seeing artifacts and reading about the unique history of the Baja and BCS.

Small museum with authentic items from pre-Spanish invasion to 20th century. One of the many Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia sites found throughout Mexico, both on Baja and the mainland. Simple displays with explanations in Spanish and English. Some unusual items in this collection.

We visited the sleepy town of Loreto and the Mission was worth the trip. Self guided tour is about $6 USD and lots of amazing artifacts to view.

This place shows how the region started and how it became what it is today, has a lot of antics and the people there are very helpful in explaining what they were used for...
