It got us to where we were going

Took the ferry from La Paz to Mazatlan. We were in a Toyota Tundra and also had our dog. Price wasn't too bad (around $265) for the truck and a private cabin for two. Dog was... read more

We took the ferry from Mazatlan to La Paz. Two adults and our vehicle. Boarding was very organized. Be aware that only the driver may go with the vehicle; any additional people must board separately. We had an interior cabin and it was nicer than we expected and we slept well. Announcements were done in both Spanish and English. My... More

Took the ferry from La Paz to Mazatlan. We were in a Toyota Tundra and also had our dog. Price wasn't too bad (around $265) for the truck and a private cabin for two. Dog was free. Gal that took us to our cabin had an attitude because we didn't speak Spanish very well. Didn't really bother us. Plenty of... More

I took the ferry from La Paz to Mazatlan, then back from Topolobampo (more about this later) to La Paz as part of a motorcycle trip down the Baja Peninsula and then over to the mainland down to Puerto Vallarta. I had always enjoyed ferry trips on my motorcycle both in the US and in Europe, and though this was... More

First time ever on a ferry with my car. Great service! You have to buy the master cabin package as it's the best deal you can have. Ticket includes some food like dinner and breakfast. Room was clean. I felt safe all the time. Will use Baja Ferries again.

We went to the baja ferries in good hope of getting a ticket to go to la paz from los mochis. On the website this should be a daiky route, except for sundays. In their office the route is also advertised. However, the lady behind the counter informed us that the only option was to go to mazatlan first, and... More

Do not eat on the ferry! Took a ferry from Mazatlan to La Paz and had a cabin booked on 30th September. We didn't have a car. Evening meal consumed on the ferry left us ill for the next 5 days. Ferry left on time. Also arrived on time, but then there was a problem with a ramp so spent... More

We cleared customs and drove our loaded VW to the weighing station, which cost us an additional 176 pesos. This fee was in addition to our car importation fee and bond, freight fee for the car and transport for ourselves (approximately 5,000 pesos, $1US=18.55; note the bond is refundable within a specified time frame, 90 days in our case). With... More

We took the ferry from La Paz to Topolobambo, and then back again. On the way there it was pretty uneventful. We rented a cabin so we could sleep and shower. At one point, I went down to the main cabin, and it was full of people drinking and listening to loud music. Made me glad we had a cabin.... More

We left with 1.5 hour delay and arrived with 3.15 have delay. The cabin though was nice, unfortunately they waked us when the arrival was scheduled in 30 min, but the ferry was delayed another 1.75 h which would have been nice to be able to sleep.

It's a good experience but they need more organization, you loose a lot of time waiting to board and to leave the ferry when you arrive.
