Gorgeous cathedral, just a few blocks up from Malecon. Stained glass is beautiful. Fascinating history. Picturesque facade. Worth a visit, especially for anyone who is interested in the California missions. Plan 30-60 minutes to appreciate the whole thing...although you can do a quick perusal in...More

While walking around La Paz we stopped in to look at this historical building. While I gave it 5 stars it's not for the attraction so much as for the history. We have traveled up & down the west coast & have always enjoyed stopping...More

Walking along the backstreets of La Paz you'll find this nice little church that has very nice architecture and a little plaque on the outside with a brief history.

This is a large Catholic Cathedral, rebuilt in 1835, the original was finished in 1692 taking 70 years to complete. There is an office where we were able to purchase a mass for a friend who had just passed away. Very friendly people, beautiful cathedral.

Pretty inside and outside, nice bell concert. At Christmas they have classical concerts with multi- colored lights, very festive. Across from the church is the 'Casa de Gobierno' where they often have really interesting expositions, like now it's about fishing (free entry)! The plaza in...More

From the outside, this is really a nice church. I like the twin bell towers and the outside has that solid, rustic look that are so typical of mission architecture. From the outside it's really impressive. However, the inside is anything but. Although the stained...More
