We arranged a tour out of Pichilingue Beach to Isla Espritu Santo. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English. The trip was a nice mix of Spanish and English speakers. We snorkeled with some baby sea lions. And the ceviche served on a nearby beach was delicious.

You are looking at about 4 hours on a bumpy, uncomfortable, wet, cold (even on a hot day), windy boat. I talked to other travelers on other tours who had similar opinions.

The sea Lions are beautiful creatures but should be protected. If you are going to go here and do it the right way please please pick Cortez Expeditions and have Luke Inman show you the ropes on how to interact with wild beneath the surface!

Take a day trip to Isla Espiritu Santo. If you can combine it with a stop to swim with the whale sharks, even better! We did them separately. Our guide took us to a nice snorkeling beach, then on to swim with the sea lions, with a few birding stops along the way. There is a place where birds from... More

Despite the title we had an incredible day doing this boat tour. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the environment. Its a speed boat rather than a slow touring boat out for a day that you might expect in Europe. It was really cold due to the speed. Take layers. The tour is well planned and you can see... More

My daughters and I went on a trip to Isla Espiritu Santo with a stop over in La Paz harbor for whale sharks. At Isla Espiritu I was scuba diving and my girls were snorkeling. We all had an unbelievably fantastic experience! Yes, I was told to keep distance and not touch and I followed those directions to the t.... More

Unbelievable experience! A sea lion came up to play with me and then kissed me with her whiskers! Definitely rent a wetsuit. The water out at the island is much cooler and there can be some current to deal with. Our captain & guide stopped for all kinds of wildlife viewing & natural history lessons and were never in a... This island is inhabited by California sea lions. On a smooth water day, it is a fabulous place to snorkel. Watch the sea lions in action above and below the water. They are playful and will come right up to you. And there are plenty of tropical colorful fish to enjoy. Get there however, but don't miss this beautiful natural... More

The island's pink, orange and black rock strata and secluded white sand beached would be enough reason to visit. The waters around the island are crystal clear and on the way there we spotted two whales, a pod of dolphins, a turtle and manta rays jumping out of the water. We also visited a colony of frigate birds and the... More

OCT 24, 2015... Paceño mafia has taken over Tecolote beach island tours. Just had a couple of tourists tell us some curly blonde representing island tours wanted $400 usd, let me spell this out for future victims... FOUR HUNDRED FEDERAL RESERVE DOLLARS for a 3 hour Espiritu Santo open boat trip WITHOUT SNORKELING TIME OR GEAR. Now all you Paceño mafia apologists, BE CLEAR

this is NOT a misunderstanding. La Paz has become the rip-off capital of Baja Sur. A month earlier a couple of tourists didi the same

Tecolote panga island trip and the ominous captain, employee of a well-known local trip operator, had an engine problem, and NO RADIO

to call for help AND when the Mex Coast Guard/Marina co-incidentally cruised by within shouting range, the pirate captain told the tourist to be quiet and and not to wave. BOTTOM LINE, they sent 8 hours in limbo, idiot paceño pirate fake captain, NO RADIO, NO OPERATOR's LICENSE, NO PARK PERMITS on hand and "head office" did not wonder why idiot paceño pirate fake captain did not return after a few scheduled hours either, a horror experience of idiot paceño pirate proportions that seems to become standard experience in this town of peace, WTF? and after that they got stopped by 2 transito cops in a white pickup and taken for $30 USD

for allegedly rolling thru a stop sign parallel to the cop car. SO you tell me, how many bad idiot apples does it take until you realize

this city is an unpleasant, ugly shi't pile infested by paceño pirates? The Holy Island Spirit would turn in its creepy catholic grave, if only

it existed. Amen.
