The Malecon is used by everyone. It has many restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors and gift stores along it. Stop for a drink and someone you have met before will stop and say hi. Very friendly place.

This malecon goes on forever overlooking the turquoise waters of the Sea of Cortez. Very clean and lovely sculptures along the way.

A must if you are in La Paz, livelier at night, safe place for a walk or ride, as you can rent bicycles for next to nothing.

The malecon in La Paz is several kilometers long, stretching along the bay of La Paz. It is always bustling with tourists and locals. You can walk, rent bikes or just sit on a bench and watch the spectacular sunsets.

Beautiful views and a great place to walk around. Also some decent restaurants in the area. The water is beautiful here as well.

Lots of stores, restaurants, and bars. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants because they seemed a little touristy, but the people watching was great. I would recommend getting some ice cream from one of the shops, finding a bench across the street, and...More

The Malecon is a waterfront walk next to the Bay. Best done after dinner downtown. You will find all kinds of people out enjoying a leasurly stride. Well over a mile long in the downtown area. A must if you visit.

Just drove through here, but it had a beautiful beach, and lots of restaurants and shops. Similar to the Malecin in Puerto Vallarta, with lots of statues and art work along the way.

La Paz has a long Malecon which is exceptional for walking along the beach and takes you all the way through town. Many restaurants and activities along the way. Very friendly community and seemed very safe.

Take a stroll down this boardwalk day and night and enjoy the view. While your down there, stop at one of the many restaurants and bars along the way and be sure to stop at La Fuente for some good ice cream.

The Hotel Blue is where we stayed, the room was very reasonable and included breakfast. It was a couple of blocks from the Malecon. If you are looking for a tour operator, I can highly recommend VIP. Enjoy!

Balandra Beach--our favourite--less than half an hour from la Paz by car. Other beeches right in the city, at either end of Malecon.
