The coast along the malecon is absolutely amazing, but the malecon itself is nothing to speak of. The sea being the only reason for visiting La Paz, oh, and the food, the shops etc along the malecon are useless, when you walk it, it's the...More

La Paz is not the prettiest place, but has a great vibe. The malecon is central to this. The view on the sea, the nice statues and the sunny walk past it all are enjoyable. The people selling tours less so, and the beaches aren't...More

Such a jewel of the Baja, a must do in LaPaz. Walking along the Malecon in LaPaz at sunset or after is such a wonderful thing.

We didn't end up walking much on the malecon but, did spend a lot of time on the store side which is still opened. Much of the street and sidewalk is being worked on as crews install new pipes, sidewalks, parking areas and wheelchair approaches....More

The Hotel Blue is where we stayed, the room was very reasonable and included breakfast. It was a couple of blocks from the Malecon. If you are looking for a tour operator, I can highly recommend VIP. Enjoy!

Balandra Beach--our favourite--less than half an hour from la Paz by car. Other beeches right in the city, at either end of Malecon.
