Best advice is to find a place with a set price for a bucket of beers. Don't get fooled into paying more than normal. The guys will do whatever they can to get a dollar out of you. Don't trust them and ask around before...More

Street vendors a selling handmade crafts line the streets, wonderfully colorful restaurants and food vendors selling all sorts of great stuff... but slightly touristy and slightly overpriced, but just slightly.

More shopping...shop after shop of the same items, and people trying to get you to visit, to drink their tequila, etc. Fun, and lots of activity, but the barking gets old pretty quickly.

Sort of sleazy feel to it. Didn't really feel all that safe. The shops sold the same kitschy "I went to Mexico" souvenir. It was just ok for me.
