Came here as part of a 'wine tasting and shopping' tour from Carnival cruise. Just some shops selling crappy stuff. If you want to buy trinkets, it's ok. Bargain like crazy if you buy anything. It's a shady area so we got back to the...More

More shopping...shop after shop of the same items, and people trying to get you to visit, to drink their tequila, etc. Fun, and lots of activity, but the barking gets old pretty quickly.

Sort of sleazy feel to it. Didn't really feel all that safe. The shops sold the same kitschy "I went to Mexico" souvenir. It was just ok for me.

Same old stuff that they sold 40 years ago. All the curio stores selling twisted Corona bottles and ceramic frogs playing pool. I grain of rice with your name on it or the ten commandments and of course Oaxaca women with their babies strapped around...More

You can tell most of their customers are dropped on their door step from the cruise ships. Good to get trinkets for souvenirs. Most are willing to bargain and cash is king.

Everything you look for on one street. From restaurants, bars to cute little coffee shops, tattoo shops and souvenir stores. I recommend going in the evening, maybe walk around a little bit and catch the night lights. It is quite the experience.

I went at night and the place looks beautiful with all the lights, there is a variety of souvenir shops and other and restaurants of all types so you can decide from a variety of options, the place is very tourist friendly.

First street has all sorts of shops, good restaurants and place to have coffee or ice cream. Worth visiting and walking around.

Beggars of all ages. Overpriced goods (junk) with aggressive vendors. Unfair exchange rates and hidden charges in the restaurants.

You go back to a building, they will show you which one when they drop you off, it's on first street. You go through arches I think, and through courtyards and the buses are right there in the back. I know it seems weird... More

It is in walking distance. However first street is parallel to the coast so the distance to different locations vary.
