Long sandy beach. More quiet than Ao Nang beach. No boats here, less people. Great for walking, jogging and swimming. Public toilets and lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

We walked from our hotel to Nopp
Beach on Saturday morning. A few
locals had already arrived whilst others had left their piles of food in
various places, perhaps to mark
their place. We walked across a
red bridge to get here from Apasari Hotel, so if you see it you will know that you're on the right track. There's shops & restaurants opposite, so you can stop, shop, & snack. Also there's a public toilet just across the road, you will need 5 baht to use it. We hadn't got one & were trying to use a 10 baht coin but it doesn't work. Prince charming popped up from nowhere & scanned us through with his card. Thanks to that lovely man! It was early & quiet when we went, I should imagine it would be a bit more lively if there were more locals around. Whatever, it's always worth a visit as you never know what you may find, & what else are holidays for if not for exploring?

Beautiful long beach, shallow water , suitable for children. The water is clear and warm. The safety of people is partly granted by watch guards towers. The hotels and restaurants are close to the beach.

This is a relaxing beach that stretches from the edge of town out to the ferry port. There isn’t lots going on on the beach itself but it is still good for a visit.
We used to go for long walks on and it is beautiful indeed. The sea is very clean, the beach has great sand and the views are wonderful.
It is just metres from the road so you can always stop off for a bite to eat or to buy provisions. There are also benches along the way should you need to get some shade or take a rest.

In my opinion not worth visiting unless you are in Ao Nang or close by. It’s basically a beach in between to rock formations. To walk to the beach, if you park here you walk through a bunch of very touristy small shops. Wouldn’t be on my wish list….

Whilst locals were enjoying this beach, it was one was entirely deserted of tourists. I found my walk along this very long beach to be quite peaceful. It is quite pleasant in the less-built up northern portion.
Internestingly, there is a short road at the southernmost point of the beach that leads to nowhere. It doesn't appear to serve any purpose! I asked a taxi driver the next day about it and he said that it was used to load boats.
I've attached some phots of the "road to nowhere"!

This beach is amazing! The white sand along with the dazzling sea makes the place so stunning. The beach sand was so soft that I walked barefoot, but needed to walk carefully a bit. This is because there were some small shells and litters inside that could possibly cut skin.
There are a variety of fun activities to do there as well such as swimming and sunbathing. For my family and me, we went there for a late afternoon picnic. We prepared some food and had them on our mat underneath a pine tree nearby. There were rental mat available there as well. It was a great activity having a picnic with family in such splendid and natural place.
The time that I would recommend for spending there is also late afternoon. The weather is so good at that period. It is not too hot, so you can stroll leisurely and watch the impressive sunset at the end of the day.

The Noppharathara Beach is located on the other end of Ao Nang adjacent to Ao Nang beach. The beach is a 3 kilometers long stretch of sand and even 20 meters wide (at low tide). This peaceful beach features a long sandy stretch line by casuarinas trees, and it's known for its shallow waters and delightful sunsets. It's less polluted than Ao Nang beach, so it's perfect place for picnic with the local Thais. You can buy a beach mat and find a dry shady place for it. Remember here is an excellent beach which provides natural shade from the trees. Finally Noppharat thara is really a pleasant and lovely beach. It's pretty quiet and less visited than the Ao Nang beach and it's very convenient for walking early in the morning and it can be inspiring for walking in the Sunset.

Very nice sunset beach. Tide is low in the evening, so the water recedes.
Our hotel was nearby and we went cycling to this beach and enjoyed the view and the cool evening weather.
