We did a days trip to visit these island doing 4 stops and also visiting a lagoon which you don't get off at. Gorgeous scenery and we had a beautiful lunch laid on too. My only word of warning is don't sit at the front of the boat, I did thinking I would get a beautiful view, instead it was... More

We booked a tour through a booth in Ao Nang. The tour provider was called Discovery tour. The company picks you up from your hotel at 07:30h approximately and goes to other hotels to pick up others. They drop you off at the pier and then hop onto a speedboat. Highly recommend the speedboat tour, not long tail boat. Speedboat... More

This is a must when staying in Ao Nang,we booked a tour and wete picked up from our hotel and was a 40 minute drive with others to the pier where we boarded the soeedboat along with about 18 others from all nations. We had several stops to lovley secluded islands with stunning braches for swimming and snorkelling. Then taken to the... The Hong Islands are so pristine and beautiful! Paradise indeed! However, on the speed boat trip, my son was stung by a jelly fish. He was given first aid which is vinegar. How ever, a jelly fish sting is totally new to us and we were a bundle of nerves as we were unsure what the sting meant. So please... More

The best island is likely the first one that your boatman / guide will bring you too. Usually Koh Hong tours will be bundled with Koh Lao Lading and Hong Lagoon and Koh Phak Bia. All the others aren't as nice. Stay longer at Koh Hong if you hired a private long tail boat for yourself. A whole day (8h)... More

We reluctantly took advice from the hotel tour rep to do the 4am departure from Khao Lak for a trip to James Bond Island, Hong Island and a few others. Best advice ever! We had James Bond Island to ourselves at 6.30am after seeing the sun come up from our long tail fishing boat among the stunning island scenery. Next... More

This was crowded but the beach and water are beautiful. The walking path is nice. Saw some nice fungi on the boardwalk. Back at the restaurant area we saw an enormous monitor lizard and a smaller one. The snorkeling looked good, unfortunately we had not come prepared. We decided at the last moment as we walking by a ticket booth... More

Cheap rental of a long tail boat will take you from Khlong Muang to Hong Island. There is a nice lagoon, then around the front, a pier takes you to a swimming area which also has a walking track. Be aware though when negotiating boat prices, as we did not know that we had to pay an extra 300 baht... More

The island is only 15 minutes by speedboat from the Klong Muang island. The sand is white and not coarse and the water is pristine clear. It is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The best part of this island is it is not too crowded unlike the Phi Phi ..
