If you're in the area, this museum is worth a visit. Lots of history behind the french and their silk. I learned a lot. I'm not usually a big fan of gift shops, but this one was nice.

From live silk worms doing their stuff to some interesting social history, everything was well-presented in a pleasant environment. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Nice small museum. The machines are all set up to move when you press the button and this makes it much more interesting to see, specially for children.

Everything is kept and the old looms are operated by buttons. The lady who sells the tickets can answer your questions and especially the film (English subtitles) are telling the story. Sadly it is non operational any more but produced the silk up to 1963.
