With due apologies to the Terekhol staff I write this review specially for the travellers to Goa. A much hyped place and mediocre food to sum it up in short.
The great views it boasts of can be enjoyed even if one spends there 2-3 hours for lunch. I think even an overnight stay is like wasting one precious day in Goa. The tariff is way too much for the rooms and amenities offered.I am very much used to heritage hotels/ havelis/ villa stays and this was one big disappointment.

My family and I stayed at an AirBnb in Anjuna, so this was a fairly long drive (33 km /20.5 m), including a ferry ride transfer (that also ferries two and four wheelers), a slightly mountainous stretches of ups and downs (warning for those with motion sickness, especially in hilly rides) and pretty vistas of the river Terekhol's banks.

The fort includes a hotel and restaurant, Tavern. We lunched at the restaurant and enjoyed the service tremendously, very friendly staff. Their Chicken Mornay is an absolute must-order dish on the menu, their Roulade was ok, the Prawns Balchao was extremely spicy but delicious.

Beautiful property with amazing views, offering absoulute serenity and comfort. The rooms were huge and well done up. The service was of high quality and the food was excellent.

Of historic relevance, this hotel was originally a fort built by Raja Bhosle in the 17th century, on the banks of the river Terekhol.
There are two approaches to the fort from mainland goa - across the Maharashtra border by road or by ferry.
Now converted to a hotel, there are a few rooms and also a restaurant both for in house as well as non-resident guests. The entrance to the premises and fort is free but certain views are only accessible by hotel/restaurant guests. Since it’s a heritage building, changes couldn’t be made but the rooms have been added.

Exceptionally managed cosy property. Responsive, polite, and helpful crew. Worth every minute and penny spent over this experience. Will be returning soon.

The spectacular view of the calmness of the Tiracol river meeting the Arabian Sea with small fisherman boats heading towards the horizon is the view you shall get from this Heritage Hotel.
A warm welcome and clean air is what you shall receive.
We booked the suite for a family of 4 and the rooms were spacious as every window faced the ocean and church.
Sunday (suite) and Saturday (deluxe room) have the best view.
Activities like fishing, dolphin watching , heritage walk etc are organised.
We hired the hotel car to take us to Querim beach to watch the sunset.
The view from the restaurant is breathtaking especially with the well curated menu.
Had an amazing stay.

Apart from offering quiet stay and sea view, there is nothing more that this place has in store. Food was disappointing.
Staff was courteous and warm hearted.

It is a very small site, most of which is a hotel with restricted entry. There is nothing to see, other than a chapel in the centre. But the view is quite stunning, taken by the restaurants so makes more sense to book a table to enjoy the view from atop.

There are 2 ways to reach -
1. Ferry from querim beach
2. By road via Maharashtra - we took this one. Though a rental car from Goa cannot cross the state border.

The views from the hotel and the prompt service provided by the hotel staff is unmatched & beyond words. My family and I were here for 4 days and being a vegetarian did not face any issue with our meals in fact being a small boutique hotel it has a wide variety of food (across cuisines and desserts). Our entire booking experience and the stay at the hotel was memorable. Again, really appreciate the efforts put by the staff (sales, on ground & F&B) to make our stay by far the best we had ever had in Goa. Thank you!

Fort Terekhol was in our wish list from last few Goa trips, but somehow we couldn't cover in our previous visits.

Finally this time we visited Fort Terekhol for the view and restaurant, and we weren't disappointed.

However, it is way too far and has 2 ways to reach. We explored ferry while going to the Fort, which carried us along with our bike to the other end. While returning we took road which needed us to cross Maharashtra border and then come back to Goa again :-)

Overall, if you are just travelling for view and restaurant, it can be too tiring (depending where are you staying)

However, you also have option to stay at the property which we didn't explore, as it is too far for our liking.
