The place is clean and well maintained. It looks nice from the distance, and much nicer when you get close.
Be careful when you walk on the slippery stones

This beautiful waterfall is located on the way to Marayoor from Munnar and is set amidst dense flora and rolling hills, which add to its bewitching beauty. A five minutes drive from the Munnar town will take you to the closest waterfall to the Munnar town, Lakkam waterfalls. Located in the Munnar-Marayoor route, the waterfall is surrounded by ‘Vaga trees’. The waterfall originates from the Eravikulam Plateau.

Lakkam waterfalls are definetely worth for a stop on the way between Munnar and Marayoor. Well maintained area with a nominal entrance fee of 20 Rupees.

This waterfalls is near to Marayoor (14 kms) and from Munnar it is 26kms. It is more than one hour drive through tea estates and big mountains (you can see lot of waterfalls on the mountains as well on the way) from Munnar. The best thing about this waterfalls is - it is just 200 meters away from the road and the water is crystal clear you see the rocks and little fish in the water. There is a barricade in the water till where you go and have bath. There were two guards keep on watching the people (to ensure they don't cross the barricade). The depth is not much even kids can enjoy.. Old people are not recommended but they can sit and see and enjoy the waterfalls.

The water here in January is lovely! While you have the benefit of the warm sun from above, the water from the waterfalls is freezing. However, there were quite a few people swimming around.
There are a number of rocks in the pool where the water collects, providing a perfect place to sit and listen to the sound of the falls. Tiny waterbugs also provide ample entertainment through their antics if you have a good imagination.
At the entrance to the falls is a small shop that sells snacks. And if you are lucky, there is a man who sells cut fruit right outside (mango and pineapple with a little masala) - if he's there, do not miss him. It's excellent having some fruit after visiting the beauty that is the Lakkam Falls.
A bit far from Munnar, but recommended.

The water flow was just perfect (not too heavy or less) in the afternoon..was cold and refreshing...Don't miss the small fish nimble off the dead cells of your feet..(stand still)...and the bath was excellent...Must experience place.. Sometimes the place can get crowded..Changing rooms are available...After your bath you can enjoy..quail eggs..bread omelette or maggi and top it up with tea...

Sorry, saw your question late. This place will be crowded during holidays, weekends.
But your group of 60 should definitely outdo the crowd :)

I had been there 2 weeks ago and it wasn't probably the best time to visit but yeah there was enough water to get yourself immersed.. the falls was pretty amazing and the water was too cold. The best part was that it rained that day, it rained everyday in our 4 days Kerala trip. So yeah.. it'll definitely be better better now! 😃
I would like to visit Here on coming Tuesday is there water now?

I suggest that this place be avoided this March or later since the summer is severe in this region and I don;t expect any water to be flowing in the stream at all. The best time would be after the monsoons set in
