I'm glad that this was a stop on our tour because from the parking lot it looks like a small church and that's it. However, there is quite a bit of history here. I don't want to copy the content from RockoMcDuff's February 2020 review, since he describes the history well.

In terms of the other fun aspects of this place, there is an incredibly friendly horse that loves to be pet, a variety of really neat trees, the famous graves and a very well kept and beautiful little church.

This is a small non descript church but it is where Charles Lindbergh is buried. It is on a one lane road that you woould esasily bypass on the highway if you weren't paying attention.

A beautiful church built back in 1864 by missionaries. Rebuilt in large part by the Sam Pryor family and Charles Lindbergh. Both are buried in the cemetery located here. Sam was an aviation pioneer, a VP of Pan Am airways back in the day. During WWII, helped our spies, built secrets airports, and other war efforts. Buried next to Sam were his 6 pet monkeys. You have to research on your own because the information isn't there. But when you visit, you are seeing the graves of two men in a quiet setting; men who both have amazing histories.

Truly off the beaten path from the Hana Highway (Road to Hana); actually, it's past Hana. I'm actually amazed we found this church location and somehow missed the Pools at O'hea. I think I was motivated to find Charles Lindbergh's grave site; located behind the little church and on the grounds. So, you really have to look for the small sign on the left past Hana. The road itself looks and is a little scary, but it's not long before you will arrive. You'll know because you will see first the parking area and the little church.

The church has quite a history in itself, but I was impressed by its simplicity and natural beauty inside and outside. Let's just say it has loads of "mana". It's lovely in its own way. Also, it is extremely well card for by some loving people and organizations.

We highly recommend you take the time to find this holy place for just the church. While you're there, go find the gravesite of the famous Charles Lindbergh!

Pretty location for a historical church. Very serene. It was one of our tour stops. I wouldn’t make that scary drive just to see it, but if going by there might as well stop.

My family visited the Palapala Ho'omau Church during our visit to Maui. It was one of the stops on the Road to Hana tour. I had always assumed the Charles Lindbergh was buried on the mainland.

The church It about 12 miles south of the town of Hana. It is well off the beaten path. It still amazes me that Mr. Lindbergh’s final resting place is in a tiny cemetery in an isolated place. The grounds are beautiful, and you can see the ocean from there.
If you are on the road to Hana it is worth a stop to pay respect to a great American.

In a quiet setting off the beaten path for most travellers. A place to sit and reflect, pray or meditate, and to walk the peaceful grounds. Far from ostentatious, the epitome of the country church.

A beautiful small church located in the serenity of mother nature's most treasured spots. A quiet area to sit and contemplate and relax a little bit. Finding this is an adventure as it is down a road that is pretty unremarkable.
A must visit if you have traveled to Hana a few more miles is indeed worth the trip .

This is a renovated church, brought back from the edge. Now it is clearly loved with a Trust looking after it, it’s very welcoming and wonderful simple in its presentation.

It’s 10 miles beyond Hana, and is down a nondescript road about 100yds on the left after the Mile 41 milepost.
