Would highly recommend running shoes, or good walking shoes. Mr. Hamilton was very knowledgeable about the caves and there history. For the $10.00 admission I feel it was worth the approximately 1-2 hour tour. Plenty off wild life to see inside the caves. Watch out...More

Leonard Cartwright is the owner and guide of Hamilton Cave. He takes great pride in showing his natural treasure. Plan on an hour of simple spelunking. Plenty of bats and a few creepy crawlies. Great fun for all.

A natural wonder! Leonard was great and make our tour interesting. He goes beyond by taking us up the hill after the cave to show us a magnificent view on the side of the island.

Fun for kids and adults. The paths were pretty level for easy walking. Only had to squat low through one opening. Other rooms and passages had surprising high headroom. Guide Leonard Cartwright was attentive and paced himself to our group. Saw a variety of perching...More

This is simply so Bahamian and so fun. Mr Cartwright took us up to his home after the tour. It has the best view in the Bahamas with no exaggeration. The Cave was historic and fascinating.

Mr. Cartwright did a wonderful job leading our family through the cave and giving us history and interesting tidbits about Long Island. It is easy for young or old to do and is a nice break from surf and sand if you need it.

Ha, good question. The way we found it was Leonard Cartwright's sign in front of his house, north of Dean's Blue Hole, south of Mangrove Bush settlement on the sound side of the road (right side going south). Non-descript... More
