Very traditional little pub. Unusually, compared to previous visits, we found it quite busy but still got a table and were served promptly. The beer choice on tap is simply awesome, the best in Ripley in my opinion, and you end up having to have...More

Friendly little pub with locally brewed beers. I'm not a beer drinker but i'm told they are good. The wine is nice and reasonably priced.

I've been here a few times and it's always very good. No TV or jukebox blasting away just friendly conversations and banter. Traditional pub away from the usual noisy pubs in town. Recommended

Awesome pub, with a mind boggling range of fantastic beer and cider, all kept and served with care. Too much choice sometimes, but definitely something for everyone. Pork pies and spicy peanuts well worth a taste. Friendly staff and locals.

First visit since the Talbot changed hands and an obvious improvement. Place neat and tidy with a great range of real ales and unusual bottled beers too. The landlord was attentive and knowledgeable. Lovely pint of chocolate stout. Will be back for sure.

This pub really is a gem, excellent selection of fine ales, no loud music, good friendly banter, and the best pork pies in the area. Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.
