A lovely walk iwith several walks to choose from. On the day we visited it it was very wet so took the shorter option. Unfortunately due to slippery stones underfoot we were unable to reach the waterfall. Will go back again in better weather

We enjoyed the walk around the loch, seeing wildflowers, an elegant black slug, and ducks (goldeneyes?). At the Pictish cross, be sure to follow the path up the hill. The downhill path towards the loch peters out in a bog. Nicely varied terrain, mostly level....More

Park up and stroll, that's all you need to do. Once you cross the road you can decide which walk to take, we have done them all, but this is one of my favourites. It's a bit up and down, but not too strenuous. We...More

Walked around the Loch which I always enjoy for it's peace and views. Then to Burn O'Vat which is well worth the final scramble, particularly after rain. Finished with a look in the Visitor Centre About 4.5 miles in total and worth every step!

A beautifully tended nature reserve, offering a fine choice of walks. The visitor centre is very well set out and the staff are friendly and helpful. After visiting the famous Burn O'Vat (I've reviewed that separately), we chose a 5km walk that took us through...More
