I heard it has in recent times become a tradition to toss a handful of coins off the bridge over the overflow of the 2nd pond. I thought I would give it a go as I needed a bit of luck. I have heard of similar practices in other parts of the UK and it is well documented that water... More

A lovely big park with lots of paths to walk and cycle. Multiple ponds and woodland to see wildlife. Two parks for children to play (one for small toddlers and one for bigger children). Lots of events through the summer eg vintage car show. Lovely place to have family photos taken, as we did back in summer 2015

Much the same as many country parks scattered around with good open spaces, rolling hills, an interesting ruin, a lake, some woods, a cafe and a number of planned walks. A good park for the people of Neath and other visitors but it does have some problems, firstly the dog mess along the walks but what really gripes me is... More

As a family, we visit the Gnoll a lot! It's a beautiful place whether we picnic there, visit the park or take the dog for a walk! The kids love it -especially the 2 parks and the ruins! Always a great few hours out! Would definitely recommend a visit! 💖

I love the Gnoll. I visit the gnoll every week and always enjoy the scenery whilst waking my dog. Theres lots of different pathways to walk around and a beautiful lake with swans & ducks. The cafe is great with a wide selection of meals and snacks, the staff there are always friendly and attentive. When I take my niece... More

We often go for a walk around the Gnoll country park grounds. There are superb views over the Neath valley and Swansea Bay and miles of walking possibilities. There is a lot of history behind the grounds and the now demolished house. There are sections of old mature woodland and play areas for the kids. At the moment they have... More

A great place to walk, uphill, downhill or straight. Many ponds, open fields and trees. Especially picturesque in Autumn.

I grew up not far from here, so walks in the Gnoll were a regular thing. Whether it's spring, summer, autumn or winter, this is a truly amazing place to visit. There is also a surprising amount of history here if you are willing to look for it :)

The Gnoll park is easily accessible from Neath town centre approx 10 mins walk. Anytime of year the park opens itself up to various walks, taking in the old house ruins and cellars, the cascades and 4 large ponds where you can either fish or take in the local wildlife. After all the walking you can relax in the cafe located... More
