I don’t post many reviews but am compelled to compliment Justin and the Exuma Water Sports full day boat tour. This is an exceptionally run operation and quickly became one of the best days of my life with my wife. The boat was world class, the thoughtfulness of the team was incredible, and ultimately Justin is the best guide you could possibly find. We saw pigs, swam with sharks, snorkeled thunderball grotto, spent time in pipe creek (the most beautiful place I have ever seen), saw a sunken plane, stopped on sand bars and beaches, ate lunch at Staniel Cay Yacht Club, and saw countless other cays and private islands. I’m also in the service industry and it was an absolute honor to watch someone like Justin, who I’m sure works very hard and guides countless boat tours with customers, bring a genuinely positive and engaging attitude to his job and to our vacation. I honestly left motivated to be better at what I do and to treat people the way Justin and the Exuma Water Sports team treated us. The scenery, the water, the stops, the experience, the team-I guarantee you won’t find a better tour anywhere and this is worth every penny and more. This was easily the highlight of our entire trip. I would recommend any tours with Exuma Water Sports but I would highly recommend the full day tour to see everything. I would also recommend booking a second tour with them during your stay. Two days would have been even better!

Exuma water sports
We are fortunate to be on a Crystal Cruise through the Bahamas and one of the ports of call is to Great Exuma - home of the swimming pigs!
We arrived to a warm welcome at Exuma Water Sports. They even had a little shop where we purchased some sunscreen, a shirt and hat for the day.
There were about 50 of us. One double decker boat held 30+ and a smaller boat held another 20 (ish). We were on the smaller boat. MJ was our Captain and Ty was the First Mate. They were AWESOME and made us feel safe and welcome … plus they were informative and FUN! Let me tell you, MJ’s boat can move and it was a blast just being on the water!
In route to see the swimming pigs, via boat, they showed us around the area and told stories. Breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL scenery everywhere you look!
We pulled up to one of the smaller islands, dropped anchor … and all of a sudden … out from the bushes a drove of pigs come running toward our boat! They run into the water and swim out to greet us! What a sight to see!
They provided carrots to feed the pigs. The oldest and biggest is named Squeally. He enjoyed many carrots and photos with people. There were pigs of all sizes in the water with us. What a sight to see and a great photo opp!
There were also some stingrays in the water. They would swim all around us and the pigs. MJ was feeding them raw chicken hotdogs … who knew!
I’d guess we spent an hour plus with the pigs. We had plenty of time to enjoy the sights and sounds of this wild experience.
We got back in the boat and headed to another tiny island for some beach and floating time. Some of the bluest water I’ve ever seen! We floated and enjoyed the others in our group. MJ then turned on some tunes and we all sang along and danced. Followed by fun ride back to the starting point.
Our entire excursion was about 5 hours (including travel time) and it could not been better! This was a once in a lifetime experience and one of the most fun ever!!!
We HIGHLY recommend Exuma Water Sports! As a matter of fact, it was so much fun, we’re going back next week!

READ THIS REVIEW!
The boat we chartered was out of service. Rather than canceling our 1/2 day booking, they brought my family on a much larger vessel and did not ask for a penny more. It was a windy and cool day, but our captain was great at finding calmer waters and a beautiful spot for us all (ages 17 to 61) to snorkel. We walked the sandbars and a couple of outer islands - hit a couple of tourist spots for beverages, etc… So much to see and do. This could have been a disastrous day, but it turned out to be the best day of our vacation. Thank you to this family owned and operated business! I highly recommend Exuma Water Sports

The half day excursion was amazing! Although it was only a 4 hour tour, it felt like a full day of events. The sights were spectacular, the guides very knowledgeable and engaging, and the captain even changed snorkeling plans at a blue hole due to semi-rough seas and took us to a different beach, so I felt extremely safe! It’s evident that they put tourists’ safety and enjoyment first. It is well worth the price, and I would highly recommend Exuma Watersports!

We booked the full day-tour and even though the tour is expensive, it was worth every dollar. Everything was included, including adrenalin and action.
We had so much fun and the crew was also very cool. Never before have we seen so many beautiful places.
We cannot help but recommend this trip!

Every single one of the main attractions was amazing. The food was even better than expected (an actual restaurant cooks your meal, complete with appetizers and bathrooms). But it is what you expect for the high price. Three letdowns: we didn’t go see the mermaid & piano underwater, the pig beach excursion only lasted 15 minutes, and the rum punch wasn’t available on board until after 2 pm. The ride was significantly fast and bumpy after 2 pm, and none of us could enjoy our rum punch since the boat was going so fast and dumping punch EVERYWHERE. It actually made drinking annoying (which is hard to do on a boat). I think our tour let us down a couple of times, but it was still a memorable, exhilarating experience.

The crew was spectacular. All three crew members including the amazing Captain went out of their way to make you feel special. They gave an incredible tour while speaking through a microphone, answered questions while the CAT was moving and when we made different stops they kept on telling you about everything. They would take photos with our cameras, show us everything special in every Island we stopped at and when we stopped at Pig Beach and Iguana Island they made it an UNFORGETTABLE experience!! Their smiles were contagious and they were always ready to lend a helping hand. I highly recommend Exuma Water Sports.

There were so many great experiences I can't choose just one. Justin and the crew were fantastic. He knew a lot about the islands and stopped frequently to tell us about them. It was a little windy the day we went so Justin stayed closer to shore to assure the ride was comfortable. The iguanas were interesting and we were able to feed them. The swimming pigs were a highlight, of course. They are used to the boats coming in so they were very friendly. Swimming with the sharks is a little scary at first but then it is obvious they are not going to hurt you. The sandbar that we stopped at is all you could hope for in the beautiful blue water. Riding in the boat across the beautiful water seeing all the different shades of blue is worth the trip alone. I would recommend this trip with Exuma Watersports to anyone going to Exuma and will be taking this excursion again the next time we are there.

Did the Full Day Swimming Pigs & Exuma Cays Tour. Got picked up from Georgetown by taxi and after a couple more pick ups, it took about 50 minutes to get to the Exuma Water Sport Jetty.
Paid using credit card (deposit paid when booking online) and then picked up fins for snorkelling and off we went.
The two chaps who were looking after us were very good. Made stops at the island with the Iguanas, Compass Cay for the Sharks, Swimming pigs stop, one stop to chill on the beach, Grotto snorkelling stop and then lunch at Staniel Cay. Full action packed day with lots of information on who owns which island and which houses along the way.
Lunch was included at the restaurant at Staniel Cay and there was plenty of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on board in a large cooler.
Enjoyed the whole trip and thoroughly recommend it.

Ok let me say hands down the BEST day we had in exuma with the crew at exuma water sports. There are 10 of us which includes 7 children ranging in age from 10-16. They were patient with all of the children and taught them so many cool facts about the island and places we visited. From checking in to returning from our excursion, not one second was boring. It takes a lot of energy to please 10 very different people all the time and exuma water sports achieved this from start to finish. Most people would say the pigs are the coolest, but the iguanas ranked as equally fun, if not more. The snorkeling spot they take you will give you memories that will last a lifetime reminding us of mother natures beauty below us in our beautiful oceans. Cannot say enough about the staff and without them would not have been remotely as fun as it was. I would not just highly recommend this excursion but a must do with them to really experience some of Exuma’s hidden gems and local knowledge to appreciate all the beauty this island has to offer.

which island do you stop at for Pigs? A lot of these reviews are saying it is not the original pigs? Thanks
Written 9 December 2019
We go go to both. One you can go to on a half day tour, the "original pigs" - you have to go on a full day tour. The "original pigs" means the original location (Big Major Spot), but the oldest pigs are at White Bay Cay as most of the older pigs at Big Major Cay died from rotten food. There are 9 locations in Bahamas that have swimming pigs. The ones at White Bay Cay are the second location and the ones that popularized the phenomenon. They are the ones that were one that were featured in The Bachelor, and on the famous Instagram page The Swimming Pigs and Facebook. The pigs at White Bay Cay are not as crowded. the swim a lot more, and you can also swim with wild stingrays there too.

If staying at The Atlantis Resort on paradise Island , how would I get to this tour? (Other than by plane)
Do they pick you up by boat?

I stayed in Exuma. I know there is a “pig island” off of Nassau, but it’s not the same location.

When is the best time to go on the half day tour? Morning or afternoon? What are the pros and cons of each? Thanks.
