This is a good experience for those who love history but I do recommend that a climber/hiker wear appropriate shoes such as hiking books or sneakers as the climb up the rocks is very very VERY STEEP.

A must go see. This is the highest point in cat island and all of the bahamas. Plus you see all kinds of birds and wildlife.

The short trek up the hill to The Heritage can be somewhat daunting but the view at the top is breathtaking. The drawback or con is that it is not accessible for the elderly or someone who is in a wheelchair.

We were very lucky that we managed to visit this location whilst on the island. There is not much to see or do but it is a must when visiting the island. Heaped in history and a very interesting reason for it being there.
