Experience was terrible… they tried charging me $15 per person and $5 a ft for my boat… kept asking if it was my first time here…

I had 47ft boat and 3 people

They wanted $280 for 30-45mins of docking and seeing sharks…

As soon as I started asking around what people were paying he tried telling me to leave

Go to staniel cay and you can feed sharks for free

In April we took a bareboat charter along the Exuma Cays.
Compass Cay is my absolute favorite one. Can't wait to get back there.

We enjoyed swimming with the Nurse Sharks. It was really an experience. The sharks seemed very tame. We were warned to keep away from their mouths, which we did.

Even though we arrived with a tour, there was a $10 per person charge to disembark at the island. I would have preferred that this charge just be incorporated into the price of the tour.

Experience of a lifetime.. these sharks are as tame as they say. Just be aware that they do bump into you while you’re stood in shallow water so it’s not for the faint hearted. But an experience you have to try!!!! I loved it

Been going to Compass since the early 1990s and never had such a bad experience. The owner Tucker has always been “accommodating “ but not very freiendly. But I guess he thinks that the nurse sharks are exclusive to just that marina so se had over charge his guests?I have paid $20 landing fee for years but now Mr Tucker wants $2.00 a foot PLUS $10.00 per person which is excessive when you are on a 40ft boat with 10 guests! That’s $180 for a 1 hr swim that we can do in the Staniels Marina at anytime of the day for free! What’s worse is when I went up to greet Mr Tucker for the July 4th holiday he pretended like he never saw me in his life. I politely asked to charge one fee or the other as we were 4 boats with a total of 28 guest on board that all buy the shirts and your burgers. But guess what? Compass you priced yourself out of any more of our visits. Enjoy the Exumas and skip Compass Cay go to Staniels Marina instead.

You have to do this at least 1 time. You can get into water or just touch sharks swimming around. If you're there on a private boat it is $10pp to dock and you can purchase hamburger and fries for $15. Great place to adventure to.

$10 per person at docking and you can jump in with the Nurse Sharks. The sharks are extremely docile, so don't be afraid to get in the water with them. They are used to people and the experience is something else.

We took our dinghy all the way from Staniel Cay to Compass Cay., having a great time seeing Pipe Cay along the way.
When we arrived at Compass, we asked about lunch or drinks. The crusty guy at the marina said no food would be served anytime soon. Maybe at 2 but probably not. He further said it would be $10 per person to come onto the island, which was fine. We then asked about trails, etc, then asked about our chocolate lab, and he said no pets. No problem. We understood and realized there was no point in staying.
I then hopped on the dock to buy a T shirt and he said it was $10 to walk 5’ into the small shop. I politely told him I was not going to pay $10 for the right to spend money in his shop. He said he was tired of folks with bad attitudes coming to the marina. I told him I had a great attitude before I stopped there. He was really an unpleasant guy and we will never be back

Swam with the sharks off the dock. $10 a person, and they toss in some fish while you are in there. The sharks are very tame, you can pet them and they get very close. The sharks are about 5 feet, some are smaller and a few were bigger. It's a very cool experience to be so close to sharks like that.
