This is not your typical market. The vendors are way too aggressive and are selling the same items. Not work the trip

Not impressed. This is not a shopping area, it's an area with vendors trying to sell their stuff. The restaurants are ALL overpriced, it was almost a ghost town. We were told that this place had a huge shopping area, with good restaurants. DON'T BE...More

We did not do any activities from the marina except for the water taxi and we also enjoyed sitting and watching the sunset. My wife painted a couple of sailboats coming through the marina.

The Marina is a great spot for nighttime entertainment, feeding fish, and looking at big yachts. The reason I gave it a two is because the fishing charter we took was bad. It seemed like the guys had no idea what they were doing. We...More

Several beautiful yachts docked at the marina. Nice pier and walking area. Lots of Caribbean colored buildings of restaurants, bars and tourist shops. We were on a cruise ship excursion and didn't have time to take the glass bottom boats, but it would have been...More

There is a boardwalk which I believe should stretch from Sabor's the waterfront restaurant at Pelican Bay to the Lucaya Marketplace. Currently there is a detour away from the shoreline due to what appears to be a significant construction project, which is good to see...More

For cruise ship passengers, I would suggest avoiding Port Lucaya. Many of the restaurants and shops are closed. Instead, spend the day on one of the lovely beaches around the island - Paradise Cove is very nice and has excellent snorkelling.

The marina always has music, and usually has many people milling around. Surrounded by restaurants and the straw market there is definitely a Bahamian vibe. Enjoy the surrounding stores that offer local arts and crafts. Leo Brown, the local artist has a small shop packed...More

The marina offers a chance to see the many boats moored there during the year. It is a nice place to take pictures and you can also take a stroll along the marina on the broad walk, which ends at a dead end close by...More

We came by boat. 42 ft. Honestly don't know if they have a dinghy dock or other facilities for short term transients. I would advise calling the harbor master at pt lucaya

I do not know of any boat rentals available from the Harbormaster. They are boats that can be chartered, but they are not associated with the Harbour as far as I know.

Not unless you like to hike. The harbour is a fair ways from the commercial sea port.
