Went here on Tuesday and enjoyed floating and swimming. Beach was clean and not heavily attended. Could walk a hundred feet out and still stand on the sand. Collected a few shells but really enjoyed the rays.

If you rent a car, travel east to Barbary Beach. The beach is secluded and when I was there, I saw only to fisherman, a half mile away. One word to describe this beach: GORGEOUS!

This beach is not easy to get to but it 's a tranquil and peaceful place worth a visit. If you are looking for fun and happy crowds, this is not your place. If you are looking for a place to immerse in meditation and...More

Not much attention has been paid to the outside beach areas. There are much better areas to spend your time on the island.

We went with high expectations, but found a beach full of litter. It was well off the beaten path and honestly, it seemed a bit sketchy. I wouldn't recommend it. Try Gold Rock Beach or Banana Beach. Both beautiful, not crowded, and both felt safe.

We took a drive around the island and stumbled in to this beach; was not well marked. Beautiful beach but drives into it are trashed. Must be a local's party spot but during the day, absolutely gorgeous!!

Lovely quiet beach but spoils by the litter which has been left. Still worth a visit as no one there and water lovely.

Great beach when the tide is out. Minimal amenities...just beach. Lovely sand. Surrounding park was terrific to visit. Saw no life guards while we were there.

My wife and I visited Barbary Beach . We found it with some difficulty, and got out of our car only to find a picnic area with overflowing trash and it was too remote to feel safe. Several people told us they were robbed when...More
