This place is desolate. If you're a trusting person, go here. There is nothing around this beach. No services or people, or houses.

Great clean and secluded beach away from it all. Spent two days on the beach and we only saw two other people.

We stopped by twice during our 10 day stay on the Grand Bahama Island in attempts to access this beach from various areas. Both attempts resulted in disappointment. The beach is dire need of cleanup. It is littered with trash from both the sea and...More

This is a beautiful beach, with a gorgeous sea. It is free, but the locals will be pushing you to hire chairs, beach umbrellas and so on. Wonderful huge conch shells straight from the sea - brilliant presents, if you luggage weight allowance can cope!

If you want the beach to yourself come here! The beach was pristine and calm and the water was clear and turquoise. There was only one other family there, swimming, fishing, and paddle boarding.

Wonderful beach for a long walk, very quiet. A little out of the way but worth the drive just to unwind.

Barbary Beach is a wonderful destination, save for the litter that is often on the beach. It both washes up from boats out at sea and is dropped by locals who just don't care. Whenever we go, I spend 30 minutes picking up trash, just...More

Barbary beach is so non-commercialized it isn't even "signed"...when driving, you don't even realize you have reached it! No facilities, path & road type parking but as raved about by those that enjoy remote, unspoiled and beautiful beaches, then this is the place for you!...More
