The beach is still recovering from Matthew, lots of evidence of the storm, beach errosion, walls and houses damaged. The sad part is many of the beach front hotels have not reopened, which also continues to impact the economy. Been visiting this beach for 25 years now. Never really crowded and always friendly people. Be sure to bring a plastic bag...often times locals dive for lobster and bring them onshore for sale. Nice and friendly beach bar as well.

The sand is white and clean and it never gets hot. The beach is peaceful and wonderful. The ocean is worm and fun.

The water is shallow and has good snorkeling not far out. We took drinks to the beach to save money (no glass). Had lots of fun and sun. This is a very easy beach to park at and enjoy.

Probably one of the best beaches close to the city but it is a little bit remote. Quiet and very nice.

Lots of colorful coral and marine life. Great for a new scuba diver. Recommend going with Sunn Odyssey.
